About this property

Beulah 3.8 miles. A stunning single-storey annex nestled into forty acres of private land in Llanafanfawr, near Beulah, ideal for a couple and their four-legged companions looking to explore the countryside of Wales. Park off-road and unpack into this delightful abode, taking in the backdrop of mature trees and nature ponds as you make yourself at home in a light and airy property sporting high end furniture and well thought out finishing touches adding an air of opulence to your stay. Laced with wooden beams and with the fantastic feature of a large bookcase with a ladder, tiled flooring and a selection of tasteful furniture, settle into the sitting room and plan the day ahead of you. When mealtimes call, the kitchen/diner hosts many home-from-home amenities to cater to your culinary needs, all neatly tucked into sage cupboards, and you can enjoy a romantic meal with your significant other at the dining table. Freshen up in the contemporary en-suite shower room before snuggling up in the double bedroom to catch your rest. Outside, the garden is simply idyllic, with a raised seating area with a barbecue allowing for views over the wildlife pond and private land beyond, a truly lovely space to enjoy a glass of fizz in an evening, and from here you can walk through the wildlife areas to see what nature you can find. The property itself is settled within rural Wales, with loads of nature walks and opportunities to enjoy the countryside, including walks at Garreg Ddu Dam, National Trust - Abergwesyn Common, the beautiful Llyn Brianne Dam & Reservoir and RSPB Gwenffrwd-dinas. If you need a heart-warming meal or a glass of your favourite beverage, or to stock up on essentials for your adventure, head over to the town of Beulah, or for more variety, the riverside ton of Builth Wells, where there is a golf course, loads of pubs, shops and riverside walks. Visit Bronllys Castle and Pwll y Wrach nature reserve, or head further into the stunning scenery of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, ideal for hiking and mountain biking. Indulge in the breath-taking scenery and bustling wildlife of Wales with a stay at the beautiful Graig Fawr.

The small, scattered village of Beulah sits in beautiful Welsh countryside, resting alongside the River Cammarch, within easy driving distance to Builth Wells. The small community is served by a service station with a shop, along with a good pub serving food. There are plenty of picturesque walks and cycling routes available, and the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains are within easy driving distance as well as the incredibly scenic Elan and Wye Valleys. A popular attraction is the red kite feeding station at Rhayader, just under half an hour’s drive away, which has greatly improved the number of these beautiful birds, which can be regularly seen winging on high overhead. All year round you can enjoy the various fairs and events at nearby Builth Wells and Llanwrtyd Wells including the Royal Welsh Show, antiques and craft fairs and the unusual challenge of the Man v Horse Marathon. A truly remarkable area of Mid Wales, and a memorable place from which to enjoy outdoor adventure in the beautiful surrounding scenery.

Recently converted to a very high spec, every detail was on point. The most comfortable bed with good quality bed linen ensured a great night's sleep. The area is off the beaten track, creating that 'getting away from it all" vibe. That said it's a 20min drive equidistant to the Elan Valley, Llandrinod Wells and other Nature reserves. A big tick from my four legged friends, had trouble getting them into the car when it was time to leave! Would highly recommend. Kirstie and Paul, I hope you have a busy and successful season, you totally deserve it. Best wishes Helen, noisy Betsy and Bear (Bristol)
