No smoking.. This beautiful and characterful cottage has been meticulously furnished to an exceptionally high standard, offering a perfect blend of charm and contemporary comforts. Tucked away down a historical little yard, just off the main high street of Guisborough, the cottage is surrounded by a fabulous selection of quirky bars, welcoming cafes, and an array of shops to explore. Guisborough itself is a picturesque market town, adorned with the iconic abbey ruins that beckon visitors to admire their gothic splendour.
Stella’s Retreat welcomes you with an enclosed patio at the front of the cottage, creating a private outdoor space to enjoy a morning brew or relax in the fresh air. An extra surprise awaits with a bespoke dog shower, a thoughtful touch for rinsing muddy paws after a day of exploration in the nearby North York Moors National Park.

Really enjoyed Stella’s retreat. Lots of nearby places to visit. Seaside Beach only 15 minutes away.

When we first arrived thought the cottage was lovely. Well decorated and clean. However, if we had realised it was backing onto a pub beer garden, we wouldn't have booked it, as it got very noisy. Sofas are very uncomfortable and rock hard. The mattress is also very hard and could do with being deeper one and maybe invest in a king size bed, plus blackout blinds/curtains would be advantageous, due to the street light just outside the bedroom window and a set of drawers in the main bedroom.Kitchen equipment should be checked, we had to buy a tin opener and bread knife. Awful smell from the dishwasher, too when we went to use it.

Great cottage, everything you need and more, situated for shops and supermarkets is great, only downside is is the ship inn nearly next door noisy at weekends and parking outside to load and unload dodgy if you have difficulties, neither can be attributed to the owners of Stella’s retreat, who has done everything they can to make make it modern but homely, heating good, and and welcome one of the best I’ve seen, would love to go there again someday
