Guests say

Barley Heights is a well-received cottage, praised for its tranquil location, stunning views, and suitability for dog owners. Guests appreciate the comfortable and clean accommodations, with several mentioning the convenience of walks right from the doorstep. The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness and communication.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, contributing to a high cleanliness rating. However, one review mentioned dog hairs and a need to vacuum, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and peacefulness, with easy access to walks and nature. The bumpy access road is noted but does not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Some reviews, however, mentioned that the sofa was lumpy and had seen better days, which affects the comfort score.

The cottage is described as well-equipped and clean, with good facilities for both humans and dogs. There are some comments about worn furniture and the need for better heating, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance.

Hosts are noted for their considerate touches, such as a welcome pack and dog treats. While these gestures are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely cottage, the road half way up definitely needs sorting, it’s full of potholes

This is a stunning little conversion cottage with spectacular views. Set on a farm its a peaceful place to return to after a busy day.The only thing that could be improved is the heating. Because it is electric storage heaters the heat has to be stored overnight . This means the bedroom was s bit cold at night. Pehaps providing extra blankets would help.We will look to book again when visiting family in the area

Perfect place for me, my husband and our Jack Russell. It’s beautiful and quiet. The road up to the house is pretty awful but once you are there is lovely. The owns are also very lovely, will definitely stay there again.
