Rose Cottage Farm Holiday Barns provide spacious good quality accommodation ideal for a relaxing break in the Lincolnshire countryside. To the east is the traditional seaside resort of Skegness offering miles of sandy beaches, while inland the west is the cathedral city of Lincoln, famous for its cathedral, castle, cobbled streets and vibrant Brayford Waterside area where you can enjoy lunch as you watch the boats cruise by. You can enjoy many miles of excellent walks and cycle routes throughout the Lincolnshire Wolds with many villages having tea rooms and village pubs on your travels for refreshment.
Each barn has underfloor heating for a lovely luxurious feeling after you’ve taken off your footwear after a day walking or cycling, both for which the area offers many good routes. Situated in between Horncastle (4.8 miles) which is well known for its antique and collectibles shops and the small town of Woodhall Spa (4.5 miles), with a very good range of shops, tea rooms, restaurants and the famous Kinema in the Woods to enjoy. Lincolnshire was known by many as bomber county during wwii and you can visit The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby or see Just Jane the wwii Lancaster Bomber at the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirkby. The area has many good restaurants and pubs with the nearest 3 miles away at Thimbleby. Shop 4.5 miles.

Spacious, clean and comfortable living space, kitchen, dining area. Fridge freezer, microwave, cooker and everything pots pans cutlery etc. A large fan was provided.Lovely spacious bathroom with Large shower. Decent bath towels, loo rolls, complimentary shampoo and shower gels. Accessed from the king sized bedroom. Parking a little awkward, just enough space for each car as it was a courtyard, however I believe you could contact the owner to park at the rear of the property. TV in living room couldn't get regular channels but did have BBC I player, itvx, etc and Netflix so plenty to choose from if you wanted to watch films and programs. WiFi password available. Wood hall spa was not far and had a lovely evening at the kinema in the woods. Very friendly locals. Visited Lincolnshire aviation centre, Thorpe camp visitor centre tattershall was amazing if you like aviation history of ww2. Mablethorpe seal sanctuary and zoo was lovely.

Lovely apartment. Perfect for a getaway from everything. It was in the middle of farm land and we went the hottest May weekend ever. Wish I had realised The Stables had no garden as it would have been nice to sit outside in the evening when it had cooled down. There are local villages Woodhall Spa and Horncastle with walks and pubs. Would like to go back to the area as there was so much we didn’t see.

The Stables was a clean, comfortable base to explore the local area. It had all you needed for a relaxing holiday. There was also a welcome pack(tea bags, coffee sachets, milk sachets, sugar, biscuits) which was handy. The nearest supermarket is about 3 or 4 miles away. This property is part of a 5 cottage complex and is the only one without a garden (we did know this before booking). The view is the courtyard carpark. But there are fields all around. It is well placed to visit local attractions such as Woodhall Spa, Horncastle. RAF Coningsby.
