A magnificent, Grade II listed, semi-detached farmhouse, located in the pretty village of Parwich, just a few minutes' walk from the village's traditional pub and only 7 miles from Ashbourne. The lovely old village of Parwich is surrounded by beautiful countryside and dates back to the Saxon times, although there is evidence of a Roman farm at Roystone Grange nearby. Parwich has a village green, public house and a church as well as a post office with a general store. Cyclists and walkers will be well occupied with the lovely walks and paths in the area, one of them being the Manifold Trail which follows the Leek to Manifold light railway. There are many pretty villages within easy reach. Ilam, Alstonefield and Brassington all have an interesting past waiting to be discovered. With so much to offer in the way of sightseeing and outdoor activities, this peaceful area makes a great holiday base for all ages.

We had a lovely weekend celebrating a 70th birthday, with 3 generations of family. The cottage was cosy and warm, made even better by the log burner. The cottage comes equipped with everything you need. Would definitely recommend food in the village pub, very tasty and massive portions. You may need to book a table. A great weekend!

Handy for Dovedale , Chatsworth , Hartington ect and the village & village pub were very lovely . The host was very accommodating & helpful & if a bigger group would get together again we would look to book this cottage .Lovely place to stay !
