Attractions include local history at The Old House or take a dip in the pool at the local leisure centre, while just out of the town centre there is the welcoming Thornbridge Brewery where you can book guided tours and enjoy samples. Alternatively, enjoy the many walks in the Derbyshire Dales and the wider Peak District, with the famous, traffic-free Monsal Trail on your doorstep. The owners were friendly and helpful and have thoughtfully provided everything needed. The parking permits made parking easy and we had no trouble finding a space. There is some traffic noise, as you would expect in a town, but the benefits of the location far outweigh this.

Everything you need for a wonderful stay, close to everything in Bakewell. Beds very comfortable so a good rest after a day walking in the hills and dales. Welcome pack was great something for everyone, even the dogs were well looked after. Parking permits were brilliant as it got very busy over the weekend behind the cottage, so many walks from the door we never moved our car till Wednesday. We will be back as we loved the cottage. Thank you!!!

It was really comfortable, for us and our two dogs. It's in a great spot with all the pubs, cafes and shops just a few minutes walk away. It's only a 10 minute drive to Chatsworth and there are a lot of nice walks locally.
