Previously a traditional Margate guesthouse, it is ideally proportioned for a comfortable and stylish holiday experience, accommodating eight people comfortably with an extra two in the lovely loft room. Having closed as a guest house in the late 1980s, the house has been lavishly restored and renovated and now welcomes guests again for the first time in 2021. From 1945 until 1988, literally thousands of people used the house as the base for their family seaside holiday and the family are thrilled to be able to offer the house again as a perfect holiday retreat.
Ideally located for all that Margate has to offer, the famous Golden Mile beach is a stone’s throw away. The old town, with its array of shops, cafés, restaurants and the Turner Contemprory is a 10 minute walk along the iconic sea front. Dreamland, England’s oldest amusement park is a five minute walk and the local shops at Westbrook are literally just around the corner!
Guests will find a welcome pack, including the all important pods for the coffee machine, a bottle of wine and other local treats.

Excellent venue and location. Nice welcome pack touch. We have stayed before and hope to again. Kitchen in need of a new frying pain and we had problems with one of the showers which the cleaner came out to rectify. A great retreat.

The house was very comfortable and clean but scuff marks on walls, skirting and doors could do with a clean or paint. I had to give the downstairs cloakroom sink a thorough cleaning. Bedroom 4 had marks all over the carpet. However sheets, bedding kitchen flooring were all spotlessly cleaned. Don’t know if the very friendly and accommodating owners are aware of this but cleaners don’t seem to be doing a really great job. Every crockery and cutlery you would need were supplied along with tea towels washing up liquids, dishwashing soap and washing machine tablets - thank you.bWe were conveniently placed near the station and could walk to it within 2/3 minutes but the council/train company need to clear the walk alley as it is full of bottles, boxes and cans. This has no bearing on the owner however.Please add a step to the front doors as one of our friends fell trying to get in as the step was so high.

5 of us stayed here for the August Bank holiday weekend and had a great time. The house is very well furnished and really comfortable to stay in, everything had been thought of. We loved the 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms layout, and all the bedrooms were a good size. The only downside to this property is that it’s very near to Margate train station. You could see the platform from the bedrooms, and unfortunately at night we were disturbed by doors slamming, whistles blowing and general train noise.
