The property has received accolades for thoughtful touches, including welcome packs and Christmas decorations. While these are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gestures, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
1 Florence Place is a Regency townhouse on the end of a terrace less than a mile from Falmouth's beaches and only 600 yards from the vibrant centre of the town. Rambling over three storeys and with elegant period features, it is a comfortable and stylish house for a beach and town break. From the hall, head into the big sitting room where you can relax and watch TV, and then through to a dining room. If you don't feel like eating in the dining room, the well equipped kitchen, with its generous American-style fridge/freezer, modern range-style cooker and walk-in larder, has a handy breakfast table.
Take the stairs up to three airy bedrooms, and then up again to a charming en suite double under the eaves where you can gaze across Falmouth and the sea from an extending dormer window. Around the house, the attractive garden has an old hot house for storing your surfing and sailing gear and a private enclosed courtyard for eating alfresco. Stroll into the lively heart of the town to shop, eat out and enjoy a drink at a smart bar or visit the National Maritime Museum for a fascinating glimpse into England's nautical history. Don't forget to pack your beach gear too for the choice of beaches for sandcastling and rock pooling.
With golf, tennis, beautiful gardens and hotel spas within easy reach, 1 Florence Place is an ideal base for a fun and active break.
Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture.

Very comfortable and clean with homely touches everywhere. Falmouth is a great place with lots of choices too. We were there at Xmas, so weather never guaranteed, but house was warm and welcoming. A log fire or burner would have been fabulous, but I understand how hard these are to manage in holiday homes.

Great location. Would have liked more information about what was there. We were travelling on public transport so would have been helpful to know about household basics. They were provided but no info in advance.
