Resting in the pretty village of Malborough, in the Devonshire countryside is Foxbear, a delightful three-storey home. Enjoying rural views from the second floor, a convenient position near a host of amenities and the shoreline, and a homely interior, the cottage welcomes six guests and two furry companions, making it the ideal home-from-home. Park up either to the roadside or in the nearby public car park before entering Foxbear, firstly reaching the living/dining room, complete with beamed ceilings, a dining table for six, plush seating, TV with Sky, and a traditional woodburning stove. Head into the kitchen to a wealth of handy appliances, including a dishwasher, and an electric oven and hob to rustle up tasty dishes for your group, On warmer days, enjoy an alfresco affair in the enclosed patio garden, also pet-friendly and perfect for watching the stars from, before heading to bed, selecting between three well-appointed bedrooms; on the first floor locate the double and bunk room, whilst the king-size rests on the second floor.
The property is complete with a sleek ground-floor shower room, and a first-floor cloakroom to ease the morning queues. Once you're ready to explore, The Old Inn pub is just steps away where you can dine out or simply enjoy a local tipple, or the Royal Oak is a fun spot for live music events, whilst the essentials can be purchased from the neaby Co-op. Salcombe, which has a stunning, picturesque coastline, is a great place to go sailing, participate in water sports, go coastal hiking, or just relax and enjoy the sunshine. Explore the area's diverse fauna, go to some nearby rural estates and gardens, or go to the charming market town of Kingsbridge. Alternately, travel 15 miles to experience the broad fields and granite tors of Dartmoor, wonderful vacation spot with lots to see and do.

The garden is great for dogs and very secure (Which is important at 4.30am obviouslyâ¦!) The bed was extremely comfortable and the log burner in the lounge is a nice touch. Great location, just outside Salcombe and it's gridlock in the summer so access always seems fine. There are stunning beaches and coastline within walking distance. Burgh Island is just up the road too. We were warned about potential noise from the pub next door, we were there over a weekend and didnât really hear anything!

Our dogs enjoyed some marvellous walks, (especially on the footpaths to Hope Cove and South Sands)! We loved everything about Foxbear, which was full of character and very clean and cosy. We also made good use of the recently added patio furniture. A great holiday!
