  The house is lovely but a few things that could be improved:- 1.

  Dining table way too small, only comfortable for 6 people; there were 9 of us. 2. Tap on sink in the utility room very loose & no hot water. 3. Cooker old & didn't work very well, no grill pan, induction hob not working very well, made it very difficult to cook there. 4. Why leave just one dishwasher tablet, surely enough for the duration of the booking is not too much to ask. 5. No kitchen towels; this is a basic requirement. 6. Side door has a broken seal which made it very difficult to open; not ideal when I'm trying to get in from the pouring rain! Had to go round the back of the house to get in. £1500 for 3 nights is a lot of money and for that I expect more. I also tried to contact the company several times before my visit but it was impossible, the online chat, the SMS and the call back options didn't work & it was beyond frustrating not to be able to talk to someone to answer a question, pretty bad customer service. I've used Sykes for years but they were so much better as a small independent company than they are now.

  Equipment: TV-needs re-tuning to find BBC1 on main channel - eventually found it on a 900 channel; a pint glass for beers would be good; better hanging arrangements for clothes although room limitations noted. Otherwise well-equipped, thanks. Cleanliness: Utensils and oven trays had not been checked- greasy and not properly washed-up from previous use e.g. colander in drawer and baking sheet in oven; dusty surfaces with dead flies/spiders on floor and in corners would suggest that the property had not been used in previous week or two so should have had a further sweep round before our arrival. Thank you for welcome goods-much appreciated. Details of local walks available and up-to-date leaflets on visitor attractions would add value to the welcome. Although with the local wildlife to watch, who needs to leave the property?!

  The Green Shed is perfectly situated to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside along with all its abundant wildlife. The views from all of the windows are gorgeous. There was a wonderful, and very useful, welcome pack which meant we didn't have to dash to a shop. The Green Shed is excellently equipped and spotlessly clean and a lovely place to return to after a day out. It is an easy walk into Orford where the very well stocked general store has good opening hours. The owners of The Green Shed are really friendly. Not intrusive at all but there to chat to or if any questions or queries need answering. An absolutely excellent escape that is difficult to leave, we thoroughly recommend The Green Shed to anyone who likes peace, quiet, open country views and wildlife.

  The Green Shed is a wonderful place to stay. It's spacious and light with beautiful open views across farmland with a variety of wildlife to watch from the generous glass frontage and patio. The facilities are excellent, good open plan kitchen/dining/seating area with downstairs loo. There is a huge ensuite bedroom benifiting from the same wonderful views from the Juliette balcony, and an amazing shower. Thank you to the owner,Alison, for the generous welcome pack and her help during our stay. For a two person let we have rarely found anywhere so peacful and generously proportioned.

  Already booked for next year! Calm and peaceful. Set in arable land with views to the River Alde, Orford Ness and the sea. Hares providing regular entertainment. Occasional water deer and lots of birds. A very spacious and comfortable property. Well equipped, certainly everything we needed. Large walk in shower (en-suite) and downstairs toilet a major benefit. Ideal location being a short walk into Orford and a short drive to Snape, Aldeburgh and Woodbridge Our son and his family stayed in the adjacent Lodge Farm Barn which was great for a family.
