    Kristy – 1 Nov 2020
"Lovely cottage in wonderful peaceful surroundings. The cottage is well equipped, the hot tub an excellent addition and works perfectly. Ideal for dog owners as the back garden very secure. The cottage could do with a few updates and finishing touches but did not affect our stay in the slightest. Nice local walks and amenities about 10 minutes drive away. Lots of other places to visit within half an hour such as Loch lomond and the ferries to the islands."

"My boyfriend and I had an absolutely fantastic week away at Little Arches. After reading recent bad reviews, we did have some doubts. However, we phoned the owner Mary directly to ask some questions regarding the hot tub and she was more than helpful! The hot tub was in perfect working order during our stay. Yes, the lights on the hot tub weren’t working as mentioned in another review. However, there are outside lights on the cottage and these were more than enough light to enjoy the hot tub at night time. In terms of cleanliness, we found the cottage to be absolutely spotless! Yes there are some little areas that require some updating and renewing but it did not affect the quality of our stay at all! The location of this cottage is absolutely perfect. All week we enjoyed our long walks around the Castle Semple Loch. On our last day we bumped into a neighbouring farm owner who told us about the Reservoir up the road near their farm. I wish we’d known about this as when we drove up the road further to see this it was a beautiful walk with lovely views! A definite must to visit, especially with a dog. Would 100% stay here again. Fantastic value for money!"

"Really lovely cottage, very cosy and private even though it is semi detached. The hot tub was great and made the cottage really good value for money. We were lucky we had good weather which meant there was no need for a shelter for the hot tub, if it was raining this might have been an issue. There was no blankets or extra cushions which we missed but understand this was due to Covid - maybe a few could be offered and washed between parties leaving and arriving? Apart from this we had a great stay and will definitely be back!"

"Lovely cottage, we’ve had a fantastic week away!"

"recently attended here and From the photos on the sight it looked clean and extremely appealing. Planned a 3 day break which only lasted 1 overnight. When we arrived the outside it was beautiful, but once you get inside different story there where many problems Especially the cleanliness il list below Half full mouldy water left in water cooler in fridgeCobwebs everywhere all up the stairs corners of every room. Hairs in the bath and shower and I mean a lot of hairs. Finger prints all over the mirrors in the house. With covid going on I would expect a spotless cottage which it was not which indicated it wasn’t sanitised properly. Then on to the main part of the holiday, we where attracted to it by the hot tub and prior to both of us going I phoned the lady who owns the cottage to ask about the hot tub to make sure it was working perfectly and she assured us it was, the first night it wouldn’t start for over an hour till someone came to fix it after they fiddled about with it only one setting out of 6 was working because they had missing parts and also the light wasn’t turning on but got reassured it would after it cooled down, which it didn’t. So it had no lights and in the pitch dark which resulted in my girlfriend falling inside it. The control panel to control the temperature wasn’t working so we had to drag a hose out and fill it with cold water to cool it down as it was boiling hot. The second day we tried the hot tub again didn’t work, the service was horrendous spent the full day waiting for someone to fix it after multiple phone calls to see how long they would be finally got someone who came down again checked the hot tub to find out there was in fact a leak heading into the main electrical unit of the tub which we had been sitting in which could have caused serious injuries if the worst had happened. Also there wasn’t a single apology which didn’t sit well with me."

"Lovely little cottage had everything we needed for our stay."
    Joanne – 5 Sep 2020
"Had a lovely week in this beautiful cottage. Total peace and quiet in the middle of the countryside, making it difficult to do anything but relax and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately the hot tub was too hot to use due to a fault with the controls which was disappointing but we were warned about this by the owner before we arrived."
    Kieran – 26 Aug 2020
"Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the time and if it wasn’t for the one big problem would have rated it much higher. The major problem being that the hot tub was not properly maintained and/or cleaned properly prior to me and my partners visit, so when we left we were greeted with terrible full body rashes due to the hot tub which were very sore and irritating all over which lasted a full week! Everything else was fantastic but the consequences of our stay once we left made the trip not worth it."

"Friendly owners, very helpful. Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. We loved hearing the sheep in a morning, and even watched them getting moved fields! The garden is private and enclosed, so our dog could run freely until his heart was content! The cottage had everything we needed for our little getaway. The front door stuck in the heat, but when you lift it a little it locks. Would 100% recommend and visit again. 10/10"

"Lovely cottage, hot tub was amazing, nice visit to Lochwinnoch. Nice and private.Owner could not be more helpful."
    Jordan – 7 Mar 2020
"Overall, little arches was a good break away. There were a few slight draw backs, the bed is two singles pushed together, and the water pressure in the shower is poor. The cottage itself is lovely, plenty of space and the hot tub is a brilliant addition. For me the location makes little Arches worth the visit, as there are good views and it is a great base to explore from. While the cottage itself feels like it could do with a little TLC (some marks on the walls, some bulbs don't work, bed should be a double, grout missing in the bathroom etc), it is excellent value for money and definitely a relaxing break."

"Fantastic trip away, hot tub in the snow was amazing. Very little noise considering the location on a working sheep farm. Would definitely book again"
    Fran – 15 Dec 2019
"We stayed for a much needed short break, sadly the weather wasn't good enough for using the hot tub, but I guess it would have been a real bonus in December!! The cottage was spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows lovely and comfy.Added bonus was The Loch House just down the road, superb food!!"

"Just what we wanted peace and quiet weekend so relaxing owners very helpful cottage well equipped and secure back yard we could let the dog out knowing that she couldn’t get out will be back at sometime"
    David – 3 Oct 2019
"On the plus side there was a plentiful supply of hot water and adequate heating. BUT, first impressions are so important. We arrived on a beautiful sunny day. The sun shining into the cottage highlighted much evidence of dog hair on both floors and furniture. So we had to begin by vacuuming and washing the floors. On the one occasion we used the washing machine, to our horror the washing came out covered in dog hairs. The absence of lighting on stairs and landing is perhaps a safety hazard. Certainly it makes climbing the stairs at night, after the downstairs lights have been switched off, a challenge. It would have been nice (and usual) to have fresh bedding and towels (especially the towels) for our second week. We felt the kitchen would benefit from a deep clean. The first cup we took from the cupboard had been put in without washing. We washed cutlery and dishes for our use at the beginning and used only these. Specific instructions about quantities of chemicals to put in the hot tub would be helpful. Also, the usual guidance about the basic local amenities and more up to date leaflets about attractions."

"Lovely stable conversion on working sheep farm. Tasteful decor. Very comfortable and well equipped. Loved the hot tub. Great location for us to visit family in and around Glasgow area. Lovely surrounding countryside. Would definitely return. Only issue; couldn’t open bedroom window so was too warm and stuffy in bedroom even though weather not hot. All in all had a lovely stay ?"

"We had a great few days at the cottage. There is plenty of walks to go with the dog. Very quite location, with the village 5 min drive away with nice pubs that welcome dogs too.Great time!"
"What a gem of a place. Half an hour from Glasgow city centre or to Braehead shopping and facilities, this cute cottage served us well after 2 days shopping. The private hot rub was just what we needed. Would love to return and explore the gorgeous countryside. The owners ( and neighbour) went out of their way to help us when the car tyre blew out completely."
"Had a nice weekend hot tube was good and the place was clean will be back"
