This converted barn has produced a larger than average cottage which can accommodate up to six people. Situated in the Upper Teesdale Valley, the holiday cottage provides a wonderful base for touring this area of the Northern Dales, with wonderful views - ideal for walkers. Enjoy the local pub, just 600 yards, renowned for its food. The cottage has many attractive features, including exposed stone walls, Velux roof windows in bedrooms, and is fitted with all modern conveniences. Shop 2 miles, pub 600 yards.

Cottage is situated in a beautiful location . Comfortable double bed on first floor beside the only toilet. Kitchen had everything needed and lovely countryside views when sitting at table. Living room had a couple of comfy sofas but very small television. Very pleased with enclosed garden for our dog. Things that i noted......the lane to access cottage is very narrow and not easy to get in and out [we did get used to this] Downstairs bedroom very dusty with lots of cobwebs. Lack of cleaning equipment, especially as dog friendly. There was only one soft broom and small plastic shovel. However we did enjoy our stay and loved the area.

Great space for the dogs with a secure large garden. There are two pubs however, The Crown is only open 3 nights a week with restricted opening hours. The Blacksmiths Arms does great homemade pizzas Tuesdays to Sunday late afternoon to early evening. Very friendly atmosphere with a good range of beer. The walks were amazing from the cottage as well.

best review i can give it is will probably book it next year. We were all from the County Durham area and it so naturally beautiful and there a fair few places to socialise the Crown at Romalskirk was outstanding and the little pub in Mickleton was very friendly and there pizzas superb Thankyou a truly satis fied customer however we forgot to leave a message in the visitors book please pass on our best wishes.
