Guests say

Scaley Beck is a charming cottage praised for its stunning location at the foot of Blencathra, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful setting. Guests appreciate the homely feel and the property's cleanliness, with some considering it a home away from home. The surrounding farm life adds to the holiday experience. However, there are mentions of maintenance issues and a lack of certain facilities that could enhance the comfort of stays.

The property generally maintains good cleanliness, with several guests finding it spotless and well-presented. However, there are isolated complaints about specific areas like the oven tray, which detract from the overall standard.

The location is highly praised for its tranquility, natural beauty, and proximity to Keswick and Lake Windermere. The scenic views and accessibility to walks make it a standout feature.

Guests find the rooms larger than expected and the cottage cosy, with a jacuzzi bath for relaxation. However, issues with doors not closing and a lack of space to hang wet gear slightly affect the comfort level.

The facilities receive mixed reviews, with some guests satisfied with the self-catering options. Yet, several mention the absence of a washing machine, hoover, mop, and reliable Wi-Fi and TV, indicating room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.
