Ladstock Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location, and overall comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's homely feel. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of clear instructions for heating control were noted, these did not significantly detract from the positive experiences. The property's proximity to Keswick and Whinlatter Forest adds to its appeal.
Guests consistently commend the cottage for its exceptional cleanliness, often describing it as the cleanest they've stayed in, with attention to detail noted in the provision of bathroom toiletries.
The location is frequently highlighted as a major plus, with its proximity to Keswick, Whinlatter Forest, and stunning views. The sound of the nearby beck is mentioned as both soothing and, for light sleepers, potentially disruptive.
The cottage is lauded for its comfort, with a cosy and homely atmosphere. However, some guests mention issues with the firmness of mattresses and heating control, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped. Nonetheless, there are recurring comments about minor maintenance issues such as broken toilet seats and non-functional extractor fans, indicating a need for attention.
