  We have just come back from our break at Brook Haven, having had a fantastic holiday.

  Such a lovely cottage to stay at. Really nice site too. In terms of location, it is only a short drive to Looe beach (around 10miles) and only a 2 minute drive to Aldi/Morrisons/Costa for any essentials. The town centre is only 5mins away too. The owner was so friendly when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed - also making sure that we knew to contact her if there were any problems at all. The welcome pack of shortbread and milk was a really nice touch too! The property was spotless. The beds were incredibly comfy too and shower/bathroom facilities were great. The reclining couches were great to sit in at the end of the day and watch TV. It felt like the owners had planned for everything you'd need with this cottage, such as hoover; iron; washing machine; torches (for night-time walking); clothes dryer/pegs etc. The tv had Freeview and a DVD player built-in and there were a selection of DVDs for both adults/kids, along with books/board games - another nice touch. We connected to the WiFi as well during our stay. I'm always a bit wary when booking a holiday online, in case it doesn't live up to expectation, however I would genuinely recommend this property to anybody who is thinking of booking a holiday to Cornwall. We all loved our stay at Brook Haven and wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back again soon. Andy, Helen and Jamie.

  We had a fabulous time at Treverbyn Smithy, just what we needed.

  The cottage itself was super cosy and, although we didn't get to meet Mike, he was incredibly helpful having left us lots of information on notes with tips and recommendations too. The kitchen was well stocked with all utensils you could possibly need and Mike had got the woodburner prepared for us so all we needed to do was light it on arrival. It was ideally located in that it felt really out of the way but it was easy to access all kinds of walks and the nearby village of St Neot is a delight. Would recommend doing the Two Valleys Walk (as long as you are brave enough to walk through cow fields) and a walk up Rough Tor is not to be missed - it certainly blew the cobwebs off! Golitha Falls and Minions were also great. Our dog definitely enjoyed the vast amount of walks available! All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to anyone who'd listen!

  Absolutely outstanding !

  Immaculately presented with wonderful attention to detail with decoration and fittings . Every cooking item you could ever ask for , Beautifully presented with matching curtains and soft decor . Very warm and cosy as weather was a bit windy for a few days . The site was immaculate and extremely well managed by very helpful and polite site landlord Richard . The site was very easy to find with Sat Nav and bungalow was on left with clear signage . The situation is perfect as out of the way in lovely setting but civilisation ie Liskeard a mile away for milk and petrol at Morrisons . We were so impressed in fact with bungalow and location immediately booked for next Christmas ! The bungalow is a credit to the owner ( best we have ever stayed in during our numerous visits to Cornwall)

  The Smithy is a stunning property in beautiful surroundings.

  Michael met us and showed us around and told us of the history of the buildings. The Smithy was cleaned to a very high standard and has everything that you could wish for as far as equipment. There is a games room that would put many a pub to shame and there’s bikes and barbecues and a lovely field/garden to relax in. The wood burner was great and made for cozy evenings after a day’s travelling around the stunning countryside and beautiful villages. Looe, Polperro, Fowey and Mevagissey are within easy reach and Bodmin Moor is on the doorstep. The Golitha Falls are a must-see and are within walking distance.   We all had a very enjoyable stay at Treverbyn Smithy.

  It is a lovely cottage in a nice quiet spot, yet still in easy reach of villages and busier towns. The beds were very comfortable, the whole cottage was very clean and well maintained, our dog enjoyed the field opposite and our children loved the swing! All of us had several fun evenings playing pool in the games room. Mike is a great host, we found the information in the welcome pack very useful in terms of local walks, and it was interesting to learn about the history of the building before it became a cottage. We especially liked how some of the original features of the forge have been retained. We'd all love to return one day in the near future!
