With high ceilings and original features beautifully retained and restored, The Carriage House oozes luxury throughout. There is a pretty courtyard garden to the rear, with sister property 'The Sewing Room' next door, for larger groups looking to book 2 cottages together. A Magnificent Georgian Home with Unique Views of Alnmouth Village and Beach
The Carriage House is a beautiful, grand home in the heart of Alnmouth village. This impressive property has undergone extensive renovation to restore the original features of this traditional Georgian village home, but with some welcome modern additions. From the magnificent sandstone fireplace – once the cooking range - to the wooden shutters at the front facing windows, from the fabulous oriel window upstairs - allowing incredible views to the sea - to the pretty stained glass in the front door; this house is very special. The Carriage House occupies a prominent position on the main street of the village and is a stone’s throw from the beach, with miles of golden sands to explore. Alnmouth is known for its selection of quirky and cosy cottages, but this gorgeous home has a grand presence on the quaint and quiet street of this arty village.
The Carriage House sleeps up to eight guests and welcomes 1 dog. Al-fresco dining is romantic and private in its pretty courtyard and the beach is just a stone's throw away. Three great pubs, gorgeous art galleries and a fabulous local deli are all just around the corner, as well as the East Coast main line with regular services north to Scotland and south towards Newcastle. The Carriage House is perfect for a holiday in Northumberland for families or groups of friends.
