Bondgate House in Alnwick is a well-received cottage, praised for its gorgeous space, perfect for family gatherings. Its proximity to the castle, gardens, and local shops is highly appreciated. The property boasts spacious living areas, immaculate decor, and comfortable beds. While there are minor issues with Wi-Fi on upper floors and a lock in the children's room, these have not significantly impacted the positive experiences. The property is well-equipped and central, ideal for large groups and special celebrations.

The location is consistently praised for being central, close to the castle, gardens, and shops, making it an excellent spot for exploring Alnwick.
Guests find the living areas spacious and comfortable, with comfortable beds. However, a suggestion for additional seating in the living room indicates room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped and suitable for large groups. Minor issues with Wi-Fi and a lock in the children's room are noted, but overall facilities meet guests' needs.

This property enjoys a prime location within metres of the town’s independent shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. Discover what’s on at the nearby Playhouse, arts centre, theatre and cinema, and enjoy coffee in the famous secondhand bookstore. Spend a full day exploring magnificent Alnwick Castle and Gardens (0.5 miles), with gorgeous planting, water cascades and a Poison Garden, and book for lunch in the treehouse restaurant. Head to Alnmouth to play on the sandy beach, play golf, and browse in the village shops, bars and eateries (5 miles). Visit Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum, home of Earl Grey tea (6 miles), Craster Harbour (7 miles) for tasty seafood and a beautiful coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle, and Warkworth Castle (7 miles), with pretty river walks, village shops and another glorious beach.
This beautiful, Grade II-listed Georgian property, built in the 1790s, has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to its former glory and now offers larger family groups and friends a destination with a difference. From the front door, follow the beautiful, original floor tiles along the hallway to reach the spacious kitchen/diner which is bound to become the social hub of this gorgeous holiday home. As you enter the space, there is a large dining table with bench seating for 12 where you can enjoy relaxed mealtimes together. The family cook will find everything needed to prepare delicious feasts, including a range-style gas hob, an electric oven, a dishwasher, and a microwave in the main kitchen, with an American-style fridge/freezer in the adjacent utility/boot room. The utility room also houses the washing machine and there is an area to store bikes and walking gear. A glazed door in the kitchen leads to the garden. Just off the hallway, you will also find a WC and the generous ground-floor bedroom with a king-size bed, open hanging space, a comfortable armchair, and a wood burner, perfect for romantic evenings. On the first floor, the lounge has wood flooring, an original ornamental fireplace and two large windows. There is a Smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker, books and games to keep all the family entertained, and three large sofas to relax on after your daily activities. There are also two bedrooms on the first floor: the garden bedroom with a double bed, an en-suite shower and WC and French doors giving access to the garden space, and a bunk bedroom. The first-floor family bathroom comprises a bath with a shower attachment and a WC. The rest of the accommodation is on the second floor. The landing is furnished with a church-style pew seat and there is a shower room. Three steps lead to three king-size bedrooms; one has a sleigh-style bed and two skylight windows, and the other two have access to a Jack and Jill shower room.
Outside, to the rear, the enclosed patio space and gardens are set over three different levels, each with bench seating so you can take your morning coffee outdoors and listen to the birds or sit with a drink after dinner and stargaze. There is also a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture for al fresco dining. Access to the outside space is from the kitchen via a set of stone steps, and also from the first-floor garden bedroom.
