"The property was spacious and attractive, but not particularly clean - lots of detritus under the beds etc. The beds were not very comfortable and we had to go and buy a mattress topper to assist with getting a good night's sleep. Very handy for access to the lovely beaches of Pembrokeshire, not really worth the money charged though."
    Joanna
"Lovely cottage, well equipped, clean. The survey asks about amenities - there aren't any but you should know that before you arrive and it suited us perfect. We had young children and dogs and the house was great. The countryside and coast is stunning with lots of walks to do. Would definitely book this cottage again."

"Second time we have stayed here, sad to say the same light bulbs were not working as two years ago. Same broken door frames, same radio with no signal. Could do with a proper clean and some modernisation. Couldn't see what I was cooking in the kitchen, dishwasher needs attention, cooker is rubbish.I suggest the owners reinvest some of the £450 they took off us, it's a bit of a rip-off."

"Dirty needs updating problem with woodlice and flies oh and wasps!!!! massive hole in patio doors which meant animals from outside could access the property and glass was unsafe because of the rotten wood. paint peeling off walls in downstairs bedroom. windows filthy curtains dirty nets dirty floors needed washing but mop was black and very well worn. very disappointed."

"When we arrived at Arch Barn the sun was shining and it looked wonderful but I was initially disappointed when I saw the rotten wood at the bottom of the patio door, if this was rotten what other problems would we find? The rot had left a 2" hole which I had to block with a baking tray but on entering the barn you walk into a large well equipped kitchen. Some food supplies were provided which were much appreciated. The sitting room was comfortably set out with a large TV in the corner which unfortunately had a problem with reception although it was watchable. The double bedroom was comfortable, the other two rooms were basic and one of the beds on the ground floor had a broken frame. The upstairs bathroom was very clean but on entering the shower room which is off the kitchen we were all delighted to see a very clean modern setup. As our visit was towards the end of the holiday season the barn is no doubt due for some maintenance but to holiday in a building like this adds to the break from the normal routine of life. Overall the barn is in a lovely part of the country and makes a good base from which to venture out. With the expectation that repairs would be carried out I would recommend Arch Barn to friends."

"This is a good base to explore the beaches in Pembrokeshire. However, the cottage was not cleaned well, the towels and bedding were very old and tired, the kitchen utensils were not great (no sharp knives), and the mattresses on the beds need to be replaced with newer ones. There is no shower attachment in the bath and so there was only one shower for use by a party of 6. The cottage did have a good amount of leaflets on the local sights and a good number of board games and books."

"I don't think this cottage should charge such a high price. With high prices come high expectations about quality and this did not match up. All the facilities and appliances are the absolute cheapest you can buy - even the eggs left for us in the fridge were battery farmed. Wifi was good, location was good but there were no walks direct from barn so you had to drive to take dog out for walk. Beaches nearest are beautiful and dog-friendly all year round as are two local pubs. The area is lovely."

"Wonderful holiday great cottage superb location"
    Robert
"Large cottage well equipped very pleased, also Pembroke town, castle, and nearby beaches, and eating places that welcomed dogs all very good."
    Susan
"We loved the cottage and locations but the constant MOD banging ruined it somewhat for us. It would have been nice to have clean bedding for the second week"
    Joanne
"Beautiful cottage in a rural location. However could do with some updating, for example the cooker/hob was partially broken. The upstairs rooms also get very hot, and we only had moderately warm weather. It would be useful to have electric fans in the cottage especially as we had a baby."
    Michael
"Very peaceful and secluded in the heart of the country"
    Deborah
    "lovely big cottage, great location"
    Lois
"Beautiful cottage in a picturesque setting. However, stay spoilt by fly infestation which was caused by the recent warm spell of weather. Although caretaker responded promptly to our call the matter was not resolved making it impossible for us to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms. The flies were entering through the roof as the ceiling was not properly sealed. We also found a used nappy and hairbrush under the bed."

"The Arch Barn was a really great holiday venue. We enjoyed our time there and it was a beautiful location. The cottage was was very clean, spacious and had all the comforts of home. I would highly recommend staying at the Arch Barn. The only way the cottage could be improved is by providing two double rooms instead of two singles."

"The owner was always too attentive, which put us on edge at times when we were trying to relax. July 2012."

"Tucked away in a quiet, wooded valley (no phone signal!) Very quiet, no light pollution so wonderful skies, a really peaceful, comfortable and spacious converted barn. Owner helpful. Pembrokeshire is beautiful and the beaches are excellent, clean and many are dog friendly. Lovely family holiday enjoyed by all in our party. Aug 2011."

"Property was very sympathetically restored whilst still retaining a clear and spacious rustic but almost modern twist. A credit to its owners. Was located conveniently, very close to the bays and beaches and local attractions of note! May 2010. "

"Superb cottage which is a real home from home and has brilliant facilities for those of us with pets who enjoy walking even in our inclement British weather. We were made to feel really welcome and the lack of a mobile phone signal within a mile of the property was fabulous but may be a crisis point for teenagers. We absolutely loved it and would move tomorrow if we win the lottery. Feb 2010."

"Arrived to a peaceful farm in a small hamlet, loved the animals and as avid birdwatchers we saw varied species in the front garden (i.e nuthatches and greater spooted woodpeckers) when it became time to leave the children shed a few tears saying goodbye to Gyp’ and Buzz two of the owners dogs. Oct 2008."
    Previous guest
"The property is very close to some of the best beaches in Britain. For those using the beaches or walking the Coast Path (as we did) it could not be better situated. Sept 2008."
