"4 adults stayed over the second weekend in December. Lovely quaint cottage, could be tricky more than 4 adults and only one bathroom. Was disappointed to find the bed on the third floor has been changed to a standard double, was a bit of a squeeze. The TV also in that bedroom did not work. All in all a cosy cottage would return just the two of us as we did feel in each other’s pockets when trying to get cleaned up."
    Mrs Mcdonald – 1 Dec 2018
"owners had decorated it beautifully for Christmas. Very clean, well equipped and plenty of space for everyone. Great location in the village. Would love to stay again and highly recommend to all."
    - Jenny P, May 2016
"We have just returned from a fabulous weekend away in this beautiful cottage. Our group consisted of Five Adults and Four Children aged (9,4,and 2 x 18mnths). The owners were exceptionally helpful with catering for our youngest children providing cot and highchair. There is plenty of bedroom space all of which is very comfortable and well proportioned. The cottage has everything you need to be self catered and is exceptionally well equipt. The best part of our stay was not having to use the car from arrival to departure. There are plenty of walks that begin from outside of the cottage door and take you through some magnificent scenery. The village of Masham has all the facilities that you need. The local park was also a big hit with our children followed by Ice Creams in the market square. A really lovely cottage, you won't be disappointed."

"Had such an amazing weekend in this wonderful cottage, which had everything we needed for all the family. Log fire at night, kids entertained in the snug and very comfortable beds. Everything has been thought of and the owners have made this cottage feel like a home. Masham is such a lovely place with plenty of cosy pubs within a couple of minutes walk. Lovely to go to the market right outside the front door, a cracking chippy just across the square and good home cooked food at the Bruce Arms where the kids can also play. Forbidden Corner also well worth a trip. Loved this place so much that we have already booked in for a longer stay next year! Thank you"

"We travelled to Masham as a group of 5, including 2 couples (all of us adults) and we found The Corner Cottage the perfect place to stay, whereas we would normally stay in a nearby hotel. The Cottage was immaculate in all areas and was the perfect size for the five of us, with a couple of large bedrooms, a snug and a converted loft! Facilities are, clean, and kitchen has all the utensils you'll need if you plan on cooking breakfast, lunch or an evening meal. There's also Sky on 2 TV's with the full package so it's perfect if you want a relaxing day or night. Location is excellent with a car park on your doorstep, the Theakstons Brewery just a 2 minute walk away, The Bruce (pub), Corks and Cases (wine shop), Cafe's and shops all within a couple of minutes walk."
    - Mr Orr, July 2017
"Excellent cottage and very characterful. Kids loved sleeping under the beams. It was also very convenient to the many attractions of yorkshire and the dales. Woild highly recommend."
    - Mrs Graham, August 2016
"Corner cottage is perfect for a family holiday in North Yorkshire. Its placed in the centre of Masham with plenty of parking spaces. Everything you need is on your doorstep and you would have no need to use your car if that's what you wanted. The cottage itself has everything you need and is both comfortable, clean and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a holiday and I will certainly visit again."
    Mrs Clark, Hertfordshire
"A charming cottage right on the square and really helpful owners. Very good walks from the door and a range of local pubs and shops."

"Holiday cottage was very clean and tide only lacked garden for the children"
    - Miss Wilson, July 2018
"The cottage was well equipped, cosy and so very handy for all amenities. The decorations were lovely and we felt very welcome. We were on holiday with elderly parents, my father in law has recently lost his sight, we cannot speak highly enough of the kindness shown from Masham folk, especially from staff in the King's Head, White Bear and Bruce's Arms , The Bruce's Arms who even found him a tankard to enjoy his beer from for the duration of the holiday. I know this meant a great deal."
    - Mr Warsop, December 2016
"Sleeps 8 people easily, only downfall is the Lounge area and kitchen is a bit small to accommodate all 8. Lovely area with plenty of nice pubs"

    - Mrs Thackray, March 2018
"Market on Saturday and Wednesday, they set up from 5am but the noise didn’t bother us. Be aware the large attic room has a double, cot and 2 singles, ideal for a family but not for couples. Alex (the owner) was great, answered all queries promptly."
    - Mrs Flynn, April 2018
"Well equipped and comfortable. The owners were very helpful. Thank you."
    - Mr Richardson, May 2018

    - Grumpy J, April 2017
"A wonderful, well equipped, cosy and compact cottage which was surprisingly spacious in accommodation and suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen is small but has all you need for a week's stay. The utility room helpfully has a washer/drier and leads into a downstairs toilet. There's also an iron and ironing board here and this area is big enough to leave some wellies or hiking boots in. The lounge and dining room is a little cramped, or would be with eight adults, but if you've children it's perfectly comfortable. The first floor accommodation has a large bathroom, compact double which faces onto market square and a small room with bunk beds. There is also "the snug" a small tv room with very comfortable sofa, which leads to stairs to the attic room. This top floor room is huge and comfortably has a double bed, two singles and a cot, a family of five with younger children really could stay up here. The only downside is the limited natural light, but it's well lit by ceiling lighting and lamps. The cottage has no outdoor space at all, something that you need to be aware of if you bring a dog, but it's thirty seconds walk to the edge of town and less than five minutes to the river. Parking is usually in the town square or outside, market days are a free for all but otherwise, there's plenty of space and we were usually right next to the house. The cottage is in an excellent location and we can recommend The Bruce Arms and the Kings Head hotel, which are literally a minute away. There is also a good butchers and CoOp within a few minutes walk. You're well placed in Masham for exploring both national parks and you should do so, take a drive and download some walks from both NP websites to make the most of the area. We had a wonderful week away and the cottage was an excellent base from which to explore, with a safe and cosy place to return to."
    - Oliver B, April 2017
"If you are looking for somewhere to use as a base in Masham then this is the ideal cottage. It has all the facilities you could want, its in the centre of town so you can walk to all the places of interest there. It is also a great base to access the walks in the area. We will definitely be going back..."
    - Gareth R, July 2017
"Only a few words to say really, Incredible, perfect location to have sleepy weekend or if you wish to do outdoor activities these are all only a stones throw away. The cottage itself is home from home. The perfect traditional cottage with all mod cons. We shall return 100%!!"
    - Christine M, August 2017
"Although this property is located on the market square, which is excellent for all the local amenities, it is so peaceful and relaxing here. The cottage was fully equipped with every utensil you may need, but also has excellent Wifi which was ideal for the grandchildren. The pubs and fish and chip shop nearby serve excellent food, and the award winning sausages at the local butchers are delicious and ideal for breakfast. We had no problems parking our two cars nearby, and did not need to use them much as there are so many good walks which we took from the front door. Overall one of the best British holidays we have taken, and we will definitely return, using this cottage which was ideal."
    - Mrs Chalmers, September 2017
"The experience was very good, exactly as described in the literature. Lovely cottage, great location and all information about getting there and access was spot on. Would definitely book again."
    - bustered, January 2018
"Stayed here for Christmas (5nights) it was the best Christmas we have had for a long time - cottage perfect even had a present each left for us (Thank you) perfect location can walk the dog straight out of cottage and turn left for a nice walk along the river. The five Pubs in the village are more like gastro pubs had a lovely meal in the Kings Head, White Bear and Bruce Arms, didn't get a chance to visit the Black sheep but it looked lovely, also a fish and chip shop in the Square. Will definitely be back couldn't fault it. A+++"
