"Tall people will struggle to continually stop to avoid banging your head on the low ceilings and doorways"
    Christine – 21 Sep 2019
"We had a lovely week staying at Stars Above. Lots of walking around good bus service also friendly locals brilliant holiday thanks"
    Kirsten – 20 Sep 2019
"A nice and cosy flat. For people not to tall 😉 ( narrow doors; mind your head!) and climbers (steep stairs)...and friends of ducks ( yellow ones for your bath).I missed some things in the kitchen: microwave, teaspoons ( just 2), coffee maker. Owner is nice and helpful and near by (down in the bistro, 10am - 4pm). A plus: bus stop near by, just down High street, so that its possible to travel without car. Public transport connection X4 is very good."

"Thought it was a cottage not a flat above a pizza parlour banged my head several times the stairs were very steep there was an archway at the top of the stairs that I ad to duck down to get through I’m 5ft 7 and the door frames were 5ft 4 high so you after to duck-down all the time getting in and out for 3 nights was a bit expensive and people running up and down the stairs from the pizza parlour so was not to impressed"
    Ian – 16 Jul 2019
"Good 3 night break. The flat was very comfortable."
    PAM – 7 Jul 2019
"Quirky, comfortable venue. You really are up with the stars ( or the birds at least!)Just about everything we needed for a couple, though expected a microwave which wasn't provided. Beautiful roll top bath for lazy baths after full days out in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Stairs are steep and narrow, but this did not inhibit us. We self catered , and the apartment was great for this. Super butchers in the village, plus a well used fish and chip shop. Runcible Spoon Cafe is at the base of the premises , which do food daytime and some evenings. There are low beams throughout, which does take a bit of getting used to , but well worth it as it's a delightful place overall."
    ROY – 16 May 2019
"Overall a great stay .Well located for touring the area, good choice of eateries all dog friendly within walking distance.Owners on hand and very friendly and helpful. The flat was very warm and spacious but could do with a microwave and a few dvd's for longer stay visitors.Anybody tall will have a problem with the head room ."
    Gillian – 12 Apr 2019
"Lovely weekend, beautiful accommodation in a delightful and friendly village. Please note very low ceilings and steep stairs into apartment not good if you struggle walking or are over 5'10". Also no microwave but everything else perfect"
    Martin – 9 Feb 2019
"This is a lovely little dog friendly flat. Very clean and well maintained, comfy, cosy and had everything we needed (although it didn't have a microwave as advertised) the fresh made scones and jam were a nice treat. The head room is restricted on the landing area and doorways and slightly awkward near the top of the stairs but most of the kitchen/living area and bedroom are a good hight (we are both in our fifties and 5'10" and we managed fine, although it could be awkward for some) Perfect location for exploring and good pub 'The Brown cow' is just a few minutes walk away. Had a great week and would definitely stay again."
    NANCY – 8 Nov 2018
"Idealy suited between Staiths and Whitby on a regular bus route from Whitby to Middlesborough. A short walk to the Cleveland costal path. It is a self contained unit that is personally fitted out. Beautiful. We really enjoyed our four night stay. We ate in the Badger Hounds that severd a good range of food. There is another pub in the village but cannot comment as we didn't frequent it. There is also a butchers shop on the high street that also sells newspapers and small groceries. Again cannot comment as we didn't frequent it."
