  What a lovely cottage, well-equipped, comfy, clean and a great selection of maps and other info to explore the area. We seem to avoided all the bad weather the rest of the country has experienced, especially all the flooding. Even paddled in warm sea... when the tides was not miles out! Charlie has dug loads of holes on various beaches and lots of long runs. We-next-the-Sea beach was one of our favourites with quaint beach huts and a visit to the lifeboat station was a must, as our brother-in-law's name is one of many on the lifeboat as part of a "Launch a memory" fundraising campaign. Holme-next-the-Sea to Old Hunstanton lovely vast beach and cafe by the lifeboat station at Old Hunstanton. Titchwell bird reserve just amazing and thousand of birds, (dog-friendly but on lead). Spent a day just walking the various bridleways from the cottage including to Bircham Windmill which has a lovely cafe. Kings Head pub is dog-friendly and we enjoyed a lovely meal there. Friday night - just back from a lovely evening at Bircham Stores/cafe/pub. On Friday night they do an evening meal. Help yourself to the food. honesty box, firepit lit and friendly locals. Lovely atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. Have loved our holiday here and already of thinking of returning next year. Thanks! Thanks to owners and housekeeping team for a lovely holiday home, plus welcome biscuits, etc - very nice after a long drive.

  Christmas Barn was a lovely place to stay for our recent break in Norfolk. We are a multi-generational family and it was fabulous that we all had our own en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished. The TVs supplied in two of the bedrooms were outdated or not working and the radio in the master bedroom does not work properly.Downstairs was all open plan with a lovely kitchen which was very well-equipped. We enjoyed cooking here! The sitting room area was large with a comfy sofa and big screen television with Sky. A well-equipped utility room and downstairs toilet completed downstairs. The garden was lovely and the Barn is placed in Snettisham Park so you could walk round and see the deer. We could also walk down to the village where there was a Co-op and we had a meal in the Rose and Crown which was lovely. We also went to Snettisham beach, Sandringham, Burnham Market, Blakeney and Wells-next-the-sea….We had a lovely holiday!

  Whilst we very much enjoyed the location and amount of land the property had we were surprised by some issues that could be very easily remedied and make the stay that much more enjoyable: 1.

  Whilst the kitchen provided a lot of things (provisions) other properties perhaps do not it was a surprise that there was not a microwave. 2. The cleanliness of the house was not what it should be. It was clear that a good cleaning had not taken place and there were a lot of cobwebs, dust etc in every room. 3. Whilst it should be applauded that the current owner is in the process of "re-wilding" the land, it is felt that the lawn area immediately adjacent to the property should be mowed. 4. The two patio areas have not been cleaned for sometime and the paving was very dirty and overgrown. Making it not very pleasant to sit there when the weather is good. 5. The patios would benefit from better seating such as a patio / picnic table and chairs for outside dining and comfort in the better weather. We hope that these above suggestions are taken in the way they are intended, i.e. to make a positive improvement to what is already available.

  Great stay at Owlets. Probably one of the best holiday lets we have stayed in. The close proximity to Heacham Manor Hotel made up for the one mile walk to the nearest shops and pubs. The walk to the beach took 15 minutes across the Golf Course and a further 10 minutes to the promenade. In fact we walked the whole way to Old Hunstanton and a wonderful sandy beach with dunes. Took the little train back to Hunstanton and the bus which stopped right opposite Owlets. Owlets with its modern well equipped open plan kitchen and living area was a perfect space to keep an eye on our Grandkids and the stair gate a sensible place. The little back yard with parasol, seating and BBQ became a nice winding down haven. Parking for two cars right outside the back door away from the road also meant we had no worries getting the kids in and out safely. Great stay good attentive owners.
