  Little Orchard was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished with a mix of contemporary and shabby chic and felt very spacious but also cosy and comfortable. We stayed for a few chilly but bright days in April. The cottage was cosy and warm on arrival and we made good use of the numerous blankets provided so we could sit outside and enjoy the sun, despite the cold air. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and a fabulous selection of local goodies was waiting for us, including local eggs, milk, bacon, bread, cheese, tea, etc. Bathrooms were beautiful with great showers, fancy soaps and lotions and quality, soft linen. A short walk past the stables (stopping to say Hi to the lovely pet dogs) lead to beautiful local woods, with bluebells and wood anemone. We enjoyed spotting birds and butterflies on our rambles. The only small downside was that the neighbouring road is quite busy and whilst you couldn't hear it inside the cottage at all, and it is well-screened from the garden, you could hear the traffic when sat outside.

  This is an immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped property.

  It is tucked away and extremely quiet despite being in Seaford itself. The owners are very helpful and eager to make sure your stay is perfect. If you are not intending to use the washing machine it may be advisable to bring some spare towels - although a set are provided. We were able to park on the road virtually outside the property. There is a Tesco store five minutes walk away and the town centre with a Morrisons only a few minutes further. The buses are frequent and it is a beautiful ride through the downs to the Seven Sisters Country Park and Eastbourne. We highly recommend this property and will stay here every time we visit the area.

  We have had a lovely time here in Little Orchard. The accommodation is excellent, clean and fresh. We have felt very at home here. It has been a great base to stay in, allowing us visits to Rye, Bexhill and Bodiam Castle. We had mixed weather but we expected it for this time of year. We loved coming back and putting on the log burner. We would have loved to attend the fireworks on Saturday but the rain kept us away. We had 2 lovely meals at The Squirrels Inn near Battle on Saturday evening and a carvery Sunday lunchtime. We hope to return to the area and will definitely look to book this accommodation again.

  This wonderful property turned out to be a marvellous find. It's spacious and being on one level particularly suited my elderly mother who isn't so agile theses days. For me, I was very impressed with the quality of the dog proof fencing around the whole garden and gate area which gave me confidence that my small Tibetan Spaniel dog wouldn't be able to escape! The owners and neighbours were incredibly friendly without being in the least bit obtrusive. All in all I thoroughly recommend staying here to visit Rye, Battle, Hastings, Eastbourne (not so nice!) and a bit further afield the Pavilion in Brighton.

  We absolutely loved our stay at Little Orchard! The cottage is beautiful and a perfect place to relax. We visited Bodiam, Rye, Battle and Old Hastings, walked in the woods & visited the beach at Camber Sands & Winchelsea. Had a great meal at The Queen's Head in Seddlescombe, fabulous fish and chips at Maggie's in Old Hastings & got a great selection of food for the BBQ from Buster's Farm Shop. Thank you Dan and Lindsay for the wonderful welcome basket - Tommy enjoyed his too! We will definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends.
