We arrived and the first thing was that the bed in my friends room hadn’t been made. It actually took my friend about 5 days before he got any bedding in his room for his bed.When we arrived, there was a strong smell of damp in the hallway. The smell of damp increased in my friends room and it was most unpleasant. If a person was asthmatic, it could have been a problem.I’ve actually developed a respiratory issue since staying there but who knows if it’s connected. We thought about using the oven if I bought some chops to eat but when we opened the oven, it was really dirty and greasy. I did report this to the person who was looking after the property and their response was…..the cleaner is too busy to come out and clean it. A big big issue was a lack of internet. Occasionally it worked but often it either never worked or was very slow and intermittent. If the internet was so bad in the property, it should have said this, we should have been aware of it. It really affected our stay. Often we couldn’t get the tv working in the evening because of it and basic stuff like looking up the weather and other things on the internet were often not possible. Also, when we arrived, we thought there would be some welcome information but there was not. Just stuff detailing info like how we work the tv, where the rubbish and recycling goes etc. but there was nothing like this. Also our showers were so blocked that a couple of times, the water in the shower overflowed in the bathroom, making everything wet. There was an awful smell in my en suite bathroom, whether it was a sewage or blocked drain smell who knows. We thought that to make it nicer, the owner could have provided a few blankets for people to use of any evening, put some rugs down, have some games around etc, just a few tips for future which would have been appealing. Final thing was that the windows weee dirty and so bad, you couldn’t see out or in. This is a shame as we could have seen the lovely view of the beach and castle of the windows were clean. Just little things could have made all the difference. There was paper peeling off the walls the hallway as well as my friends roomAs well but we wudn’t have minded this if the other things had been better.

Large, modern property with good views from front room, plenty of parking nearby and shops/pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable bed & well equipped kitchen. Would have liked to know in advance no tea towels or shower mat provided but we improvised. Kitchen tap needs attention as does the hall wall but we loved your art work!
