  This was perfect in every way!

  If anything, the listing under-sold how amazing the property was... as it was even better the we expected! Let's start with the pre-visit comms - both from the automated website - which was excellent - to the specific questions that we asked of the owner (would there be a Christmas Tree?) - it was all spot on. Facilities were amazing - it is a beautiful house, with some lovely rooms. We didn't use the front snug or downstairs bedroom, as we didn't need them, but they were lovely too. The kitchen (and oven) were a tad cosy to cook a Christmas Dinner... but we managed! Bathrooms, hot water, oven, microwave - all worked amazingly. The back garden was enclosed for our dogs, which was great for a "quick wee" at night. Location is also fantastic - lots of lovely walks radiating away from the house, but also lots of fab places within an easy drive - Chippenham, Corsham, Lacock, Bath etc. The pub was a bit of a hike - a mile down hill/up hill - so not one that we managed. Probably the hidden gold star, was for the "welcome pack" of goodies - milk, tea, coffee, crisps and biscuits. We felt totally spoilt, and reflects the high quality nature of Sykes, of the owners, and of their cleaning team. We did initially toy with renting a cottage via the more famous letting company made up of letters (!), but our attempts dealing with them left us with a bad feeling, and we are so pleased we chose Sykes... and Little Foxes in particular!!   Birch House is fantastic - there really is nothing you need to bring with you to start your break here - the generous welcome pack left by Amber and Aaron enabled us to feed our party of 5 on the first evening - thank you so much.

  The furniture and beds are comfortable (firm) and the towels big and luxurious. The house was spotlessly clean throughout. The hot tub was amazing and our party ranging from mid 50s to early teens enjoyed morning, mid afternoon and evening plunges to relax - there are towels in the cupboard for this too. Our teenage children enjoyed playing the selection of games available too. We used Birch House as a base to visit Bath (catch the x31 or 231 bus to avoid expensive parking and long traffic queues in to the centre - you can download an app easily and pay in advance), Bristol Zoo Project, Swindon Outlet Village, Diddly Squat Farm (beware the queue was 3 hours long for the shop) and Corsham Village. We walked to The Great Western pub for a meal and was not disappointed. We highly recommend Birch House for any length of visit - the photos, although fabulous, really do not show how amazing this house truly is. Amber and Aaron's communication from prior and throughout the visit was considerate.

  We had a lovely week at Birch House.

  The house had clearly been recently renovated to a high standard. It was comfortable, well equipped, and large enough for our party of 6, including 2 young children and one dog. We really appreciated the welcome pack and the selection of games and toys. Unfortunately, the wet April weather put us off using the hot tub, so can't comment on that, though it looked great! Amber was a wonderful host, with excellent communication before and during our stay. We had an incident where our 3 year old wet the bed and Amber went above and beyond to come round and change the sheets so that I wouldn't have to deal with it myself. Small touches like this can make a huge difference on a family holiday. Corsham itself is a lovely village and we enjoyed days out in Bath, Lacock, Dyrham Park and Longleat. Overall, I would highly recommend Birch House.

  What an amazing place to stay in.

  Feels more like your own home than a holiday home. Everything you would need was provided and more. Plenty of room for 4 of us. We all slept so well the beds were so comfortable. I must say one of the best welcome packs provided which really helped on our arrival. We made great use of the hot tub. Great location. Highly recommend a visit to Lacock. Lovely garden centre in nearby Melksham which has amazing food. Whitehall Garden centre in Corsham has a brilliant Christmas shop. We had a lovely meal at Moonlight Indian restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Owner Amber contacted us to check everything was OK with our stay. Highly recommend. One of the best properties we have stayed in. Thank you so much for a lovely stay

  We have been to quite a few Sykes holiday lets and this property is definitely up there with the best.

  The property is laid out just as we would have done if we had owned it,the open plan living area is comfortable and warm and the kitchen area is well laid out and furnished with lots of cooking pots and pans and the utensils are plentiful and spotless. The bedrooms are spacious and we'll furnished with lots of wardrobe space and comfortable beds,the toilet and shower room is modern and even though we are bath people we found the shower was great. Outside the small garden was enough and the constant supply of bird good ensured an abundance of birds. The owners were very welcoming and were keen to ensure our stay was pleasant. As and when we return to revisit the area we shall look to see if Little Barn is available.
