  A wonderful shepherd's hut in a beautiful farm. The host Aubrey was so helpful & personable. Pretty much all you'd need is provided I the hut which is both tradional yet modern and well' fitted with hidden nooks n crannies for storage. Recommended by our friends and we were very impressed. The location was on a hill with stunning views and lovely sunsets from the hot tub. The birds wake you up with birdsong. No traffic! Bliss! Bit of trek to the nearest pub and neighbouring cute village Bampton but you'll need a car round there as not walk friendly roads as few pavements. This didn't spoil our experience as we were out somewhere everyday. The countryside is beautiful all around there on the drive to beautiful coastline, bays and coves or inland land to stunning gardens.

  The cottage was lovely and the owners are lovely.

  I had a problem due to my mobility and had a couple of problems, the double bed was very large and reached to the walls of the room. I couldn’t climb onto it, however the two single beds were very comfortable. Everything in the cottage was extremely comfortable and lovely and clean. I think if someone had a bit of mobility issues that should be mentioned as the steps going up to the cottage a couple of them were deep there is a rail to help. Also the stairs inside due to the turns gave me a bit of a problem, however the downstairs toilet made it easier than having to go up and down. It is a lovely cottage and well worth a visit handy for all the lovely places to visit, and thank you to the lovely owners of the property

  Fantastic, jam-packed week away. Gorgeous setting, beautiful, well equipped cottage. Home-from-home. Visited various places - Leyburn, Askrigg, Gayle Falls, Hawes Creamery, Semer Water, Muker, Gunnerside, Sedbergh, Cotter Falls. Great places to eat out that are close by for lunch and evening meals - Kings Arms in Askrigg, Hawes Creamery Cafe, Wensleydale Heifer (lunchtime set menu), Ramsays fish & chip van every Tuesday night in village 4.30-6pm, The Bake-Well cafe Askrigg. Amazing weeks holiday - thank you Alison & Stuart. We will definitely be back again for another relaxing break. Lovely, cosy, clean cottage and little trats provided very much appreciated.

  The location is perfect not only is it quiet and beautiful very relaxing but so convenient for so many locations in Devon you can go some where different everyday. The shepherds hut was warm and very comfortable the size was ideal for my husband and I with our little dog the kitchen was great we cooked breakfast and several evening meals without any trouble. The bathroom was lovely and the shower was amazing. My husband used the hot tub several times which helped his knee replacement. The bed was a delight so comfortable. Owner was so obliging and helpful nothing was to much trouble I highly recommend this holiday home.

  The Nook exceeded our expectations!

  From the moment we walked in we felt right at home. The property is spacious and well thought out, with gorgeous features and beautiful décor. The lounge felt luxurious and comfy. Being newly renovated everything is brand new and in lovely condition with all needs being taken care of, from a coffee machine to an icemaker. We found it peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake! We were looking for a central location, that made the town and local nature spots accessible and The Nook was absolutely perfect! Can’t wait to come again.
