The Property is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac in this picturesque coastal village of Salthouse; far enough away from the coast road to be undisturbed by holiday traffic but still close enough to the small general store and pub to easily walk there. The Property is very well appointed and has bedrooms on three separate levels (including a sort of semi-annexe above the garage that has its own shower/loo but is still linked to the rest of the house) which is excellent if you have snorers within your group/or want privacy! A bottle of Wine and luxury biscuits, large bottle of milk, tea bags and coffee awaited us on arrival which were very welcome. We were lucky and had beautiful sunny weather all week in early February (perfect for our birdwatching holiday) but nights were cold. However the house was always warm and cosy so we didn't really need to use the log burning stove other than for decoration at night.

Good location, close to the coast road but away from any noise or bustle. On a very practical note.... Plenty of crockery and cutlery....often holiday rentals just provide enough for one sitting and you’re always either washing up or using the dishwasher. Same too with plenty of tea towels, washing up liquid and toilet rolls!! Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I just want to thank the owners of this wonderful Maltings cottage, for a delightful stay. We found the cottage enchanting with all the little stuffed creatures and other adorable decorations. The cottage was lovely to look at and wonderful to live in with everything supplied that you could ever need. Our favourite day was our last full day as we rented a boat for £75 and had a wonderful sun filled day on the water. (Maycraft) What a remarkable place. We will definitively book again. We can't wait !

would highly recommend a stay in The Maltings. It is extremely comfortable and cosy in a good central position to visit most parts of Norfolk. Facilities in the cottage are excellent with a home from home atmosphere. Local pub The Kings Arms is in walking distance and the staithe is just opposite where the boats moor for the night. Don't forget to feed Clyde the horse who lives in the field at the back of the cottage! All in all an excellent place to stay.
