What our customers say about their holidays

Accommodation was warm however that is about all I can say about it.
Owner says it sleeps 2/4 people so we assumed we could have the bed and kids could sleep on the sofa bed, that didn't happen! My partner and both children slept in the bed and I tried to sleep on the cobbled street they said was a sofa bed. We ended up leaving a day early because 3 nights with no sleep was about enough for me. I did bring it up with the owner and was told no-one had complained before which isn't true. When we returned home I checked the reviews and someone else had mentioned it before which, in fairness had seen but the review had been commented on by the owner saying all issues had been resolved NOT TRUE. Access to the the garden was through a door with a padlock on and unless I asked we wouldn't have been told by the owner, it felt like they don't actually want you to use it but put it on their advert to make it sound like your getting more than you do. After not sleeping on the last night I took our dog for a walk at 5am and when I returned the door was locked and I couldn't access the Accommodation because you share the entrance with the owner which isn't pointed out on booking. After all is said the area is beautiful and well worth a visit, just find some other accommodation. Wouldn't stay again and definitely wouldn't recommend.

Loved the sea view and Ilfracombe was a good central location to explore bays & beaches in the area. The property was was comfortable and clean & parking out the front not too much trouble. Fees only started at 10am in the morning & finished by 6pm at night. We usually lucked a carpark there at night without having to trek up the hill. The seagull chorus reminded us we were at the seaside. Handy convenience store just a short walk down the high street. Nice coffee at Annie & the Flint. Massive Tesco at top of the hill if needed. Favourite cafes...Beachcomber in Woolacombe with a stunning view and Blue Groove in Croyde. Did a great day trip to Hartland Abbey where Prince William had his stag. Awesome gardens, house tour and incredible coast. Also a day trip to Lynton & Lynmouth where we took the funicular railway. Fab time all round!

Great property, the steps up to it from the road werenât a problem and the car park space was close enough.
On arrival we did question what we had booked, we noticed that the front windows were dirty (there had been storms, but the house keeper could have wiped them over) and the patio furniture was very rusty, but once inside things improved immensely. We very much enjoyed our stay. However, we found getting the temperature of the shower in the bathroom difficult to control and the wall bracket holding the shower head had one screw to hold it in place, so if you held the shower by hand the wall bracket would turn over. We also found the water temperature to the kitchen sink variable. After a short burst of hot water it quickly ran to like warm. A colander would be useful. None of the above particularly affected our stay, but worth noting all the same.

Beautiful apartment in lovely Mortehoe. We had 3 issues which which we were going to email you about. One was flies. On wednesday, Thursday and Friday we came back each night to hundreds of ? Cluster flies in kitchen.. we think they came from chimney. We had to go out and buy fly spray which we left in sink under cupboard, but took along time to get rid of them and clean after them. 2. The hoover available to use was clogged and had to be taken apart to be able to use, and 3.. we were lucky enough not to have anyone upstairs until our last night.. the sound proofing is dreadful against little childrens feet. Just things we feel it is important for you to be aware of. Everything else fab :)

The "cottage" was not as it was advertised, it was Listed as a one bed cottage, not a flat inside someone's home, if we had known this we would not have rented it.
Living effectively with someone if not the experience we wanted due to the awkward feeling of always knowing they where there. The garden was very pretty, but you had to go through a shed full of rubbish to get there and you are made aware on arrival that the owners dog does not like other dogs so are always on edge that it may be there. The games room was non existent, the room had a lot of the owners rubbish from the owners and generally was not a pleasent place to be. The owners are nice people and personally I put the majority of the problems down to you (the advertiser) but even so I think some serious changes need to be made to be taking that sort of money from people.
