  Les 2 lit de la chambre double Et le petit Jardin La maison, en général, était moyennement confortable, mais ce qui m’a particulièrement dérangé, ce sont les poils de chien partout dans la maison. Ce n'était pas très propre : on sentait une forte odeur de chien, même l’aspirateur dégageait une odeur désagréable et contenait beaucoup de poils. En marchant en chaussettes, celles-ci se retrouvaient couvertes de poils, qui étaient omniprésents sur la moquette, les plaids et le canapé. Il y avait également des toiles d’araignée sur les lustres. De plus, il manquait certains équipements essentiels, notamment un ouvre-bouteille, un plat adapté au four et un sèche-cheveux pour la salle de bain. À notre arrivée, nous avons constaté que la lunette des toilettes était cassée. Concernant le quartier, je l’ai trouvé cher par rapport au prix de l’appartement, car il n’était pas très agréable. Il y avait beaucoup de déchets sur les trottoirs et l’ensemble du quartier semblait ancien et mal entretenu. Cependant, les habitants étaient adorables et le pays magnifique. Nous avons pu visiter de nombreux endroits intéressants, et c’est ce que je retiens avant tout. J’espère que des améliorations seront apportées à l’appartement pour offrir un meilleur confort aux futurs visiteurs.

  Lovely house for big family stay.

  Well equipped and comfortable. Very spacious and the 'Party barn' was a huge hit. The little kids (7 & 10) were able to stop up in a safe environment , play bar billiards etc. They loved it. Kind of the owners to supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash & washing up liquid - eco friendly. Also biscuits, tea bags, coffee and milk as a starter pack. We ate at The Narrowboat at Weedon and The 'live and let live'. Ordered a takeaway form the Lucky House(?). Fine. Very near the services off the M1 which has a Greggs and a Starbucks. Perfect for the dog walker to fetch us all a coffee! Garden dog and kid friendly. The children were very taken with the study FULL of board games & Jigsaws - this was smashing. Another shower would have been nice, with 9 in the house, but with such an old characterful house this is tricky. Need to master the Aga better. Trying to cook for 9 was a challenge. Bedding and towels all great quality. All in all a fantastic stay and the owners are to be congratulated on such a great quality place. Thanks - we may be back!

  We absolutely loved staying at Hill House Farm.

  It was so spacious and well stocked with everything and more that we needed for our family of 9 people. The furniture was just lovely, high quality, and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in. It is a really beautiful house and we all felt completely at home. As it was December, the house had been beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and lots of festive ornaments. Such a nice and thoughtful touch by the owners. The party barn was just fabulous and a hit with everyone. We didn’t get to enjoy the garden as it was cold and very wet during our stay, but it looked lovely and would be great for barbecues etc in the better weather. We loved the farmhouse so much and were sad to leave, so as soon as we arrived back home, we booked it again for the following year. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in this wonderful house.

  Check in was easy and communication with host very good. The house is small but warm, clean and welcoming. The lounge and dining area was very comfortable. There is a reasonably stocked kitchen with washing machine and a large airer which was very useful. The beds were clean and the bedrooms had adequate storage for the 3 of us. The street is a dead narrow terraced street - very different to Australia so parking was tricky at times but we got used t it. There were a few maintenance issues but communication and response was very good and fast.

  Hill House is very homely, comfortable, cosy as well as extensive, each room providing ample space for a big family.

  It is also quirky but considering its age and all the add-ons over the centuries this is not surprising! We were amazed to be told about the Priest's Hole in the house, an exciting historic find. The turkey, beef, pheasant and ham cooked on the Aga was very tasty, perhaps more so than conventional oven? Tricky initially but once we read the instructions it was easy to use. I needed instructions for the washing machine which was provided instantly. Any queries actually, were dealt with immediately. The party barn was an added bonus.
