Once inside this light and comfortable home you will feel instantly relaxed, spending precious time with your family. Enjoy cooking and eating meals together in the contemporary, well equipped kitchen and dining area. Upstairs two bright and comfortable bedrooms, this really is the perfect place for your family to holiday. Rockpools offers a sunny, enclosed garden with sun loungers, BBQ, and a storage shed for all your beach and watersports clothing and equipment. There is a hose to wash off dirty boots and wetsuits, offering everything you need for a superb stay.
Positioned on the popular Maltings development Rockpools is only a few mintues walk to a green pet exercise area and Newton's Cove. Walk around the cove and onto Nothe Gardens. Be sure to visit the Nothe Fort and learn lots of history about it. Afterwards why not walk along and stop to enjoy an afternoon or early evening drink overlooking the harbour from the popular Nothe Tavern pub.
A few minutes from the property is, a great flat off road pedestrian / cycle path going from Weymouth to Portland, called the Rodwell trail. Over a 1000 climbing routes on Portland, this is just a 15 minutes car ride. Weymouth's main sandy beach is about a 10 minute walk away where its golden sands are great for building sandcastles and its shallow safe clean water is perfect for a paddle.

Visit Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s “Casterbridge”, only 7 miles away, or take a journey along the scenic coastal road and call in at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. Alternatively, just head down to West Bay - the views of the stunning Dorset Heritage Coastline are not to be missed!

Property had all that we needed for the week. We took our dog so the stair gate that is installed ensured he did not venture upstairs. The property was in a quiet area, so virtually silent at night. A parking space was a bonus. The beds and duvets were adequate, but I am comparing this to our bedding at home which is the best.Overall it was a great holiday. The weather was better than we could have expected in February, dry all week but very cold winds. We walked every day, and the range of wildlife in the nearby nature reserves was impressive, if that interests you. We will return in the future.
