Situated in the village of Sleights just outside of the historic coastal town of Whitby. Once inside you are sure to be wowed by the beautiful open plan living area, bathed in light from the ceiling windows as well as the wall-to-wall glass panelling. In this fabulous social area, you have comfortable seating for you all to gather together, as well as a long sweeping dining table perfect for entertaining. All open plan with the large sleek and modern kitchen, with everything needed to create homemade meals. A glass sliding wall separates this room from the games room, which is ideal for younger family members as well as adults having a bit of light hearted fun in an evening. There is a sitting room on the ground floor, this smaller more intimate room boasts a wood burner, creating an atmospheric and cosy space. There is a ground bedroom, as well as a bathroom with a spa bath. Upstairs on the first floor there are two kingsize bedrooms, beneath beamed ceilings, as well as a twin bedroom.
The village of Sleights is less than 5 miles from the centre of Whitby, as well as being on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The village has a welcoming atmosphere, with a range of amenities including a village shop, pub, hairdressers, fish and chip restaurant, butcher, and bakery. The river Esk flows through the edge of the village and further along its banks in neighbouring Ruswarp you have boat and canoe hire where you can enjoy an idyllic trip on the water. The river attracts a host of wildlife, from leaping salmon and heron to otters and kingfishers if you are lucky enough to spot them. Children are sure to enjoy feeding the ducks or riding the miniature steam train as well as visiting the indoor play centre in the neighbouring village.

This is a really comfortable and spacious house and gave the six of us a great base for our holiday. We loved the layout, peace and quiet and comfort. No hesitation in recommending this holiday cottage

Lovely house and gardens, however the underfloor heating must be set too low, if used at all for the kitchen diner at this time of the year.This large area has a large tv with internet options and good seating but due to the inadequate temperature on the underfloor heating, you are forced to use the lounge at night with a nice wood burner but with a small tv with no internet,Whilst a lovely enjoyable holiday, we would only consider returning in the summer months.
