We had a great holiday at Cattle Cake Cottage. The accommodation is so clean and well appointed. I have mobility issues and found the cottage easy to navigate. Parking is immediately outside the door and apart from one bedroom everything is on one level, including two bathrooms with large showers. We didn’t use it, but having the option of a real fire is lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed.The cottage is a very short walk to a pub and shop/ coffee shop which sells fantastic bread and locally roasted coffee. Another pub is very close.Local attractions worth a visit are Lowther Castle and Acorn Bank, both of which hire out trampers on the outdoor mobility scheme.Scott and Helen were excellent hosts. We hope to come back soon.
