Hog Pits is a charming and well-equipped cottage set in a peaceful, rural location with beautiful views over farmland. Guests consistently praise its comfort, cleanliness, and accessibility, especially for those with mobility needs. The hosts are described as friendly and welcoming, and the cottage is ideal for families and those seeking a relaxing countryside retreat. While amenities and shops require a drive, the tranquil setting and thoughtful touches make for a memorable stay.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean and well maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.
The rural, peaceful setting is highly praised for its tranquillity and views, though several guests note the need for a car due to the remote location and distance from shops and eateries.
Guests frequently mention comfortable beds, spacious interiors, and a cosy atmosphere, even during storms. Accessibility for those with disabilities is also positively noted.
The cottage is described as very well equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen, accessible wet room, games room, and outdoor space. One minor suggestion was for newer garden furniture.
Guests appreciated welcoming touches such as a tray of goodies, coffee, shortbread, and fizz on arrival. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Very clean, warm and comfortable, well equipped, friendly and helpful hosts. Off the beaten track so we had to drive out for visits etc., but very relaxing.
