Sea Blue Cottage is a great little hideaway, perfectly positioned only yards from Scarborough’s award-winning sandy beach and sea front, providing a perfect holiday home which enhances the nearby sea views from the living room. The owners have done a fantastic renovation of this 150-year-old property into a well-equipped holiday retreat.
Within seconds, guests can be sitting on the beach or paddling in the sea, and there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants within close proximity. The town of Scarborough, with its great shopping area, is only a matter of yards away. It is an ideal base for couples or families looking to explore this beautiful part of Yorkshire.
There is a choice of two bays to explore; the South Bay has all the hustle and bustle of a traditional seaside resort, with donkeys, amusements and pleasure steamers, including the famous pirate ship. The North Bay is much quieter, with a long promenade to stroll along, and at the end the guests will reach the Sea Life Centre and the Open Air Theatre, the largest open-air theatre in Europe.
Scarborough also has the benefit of a 12th Century castle, which has breathtaking views across the coastline, and during the summer months there are events taking place, a great place for children. The town of Scarborough has much offer in the form of the Rotunda Museum, the art gallery or the famous Scarborough Spa, in all Scarborough has something for everyone.

Very enjoyable stay in what is a very well equipped, comfortable apartment. Recently updated there has been thought put into the furnishings and accessories. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable and the whole apartment is very welcoming on the inside with a nice sea view. Yes, the roof you overlook isn't the best but we could look beyond that, the entrance down the staircase doesn't make a great first impression but again, it is in the inside you are staying at and that is all that counts.The sea front is minutes away with access to pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants and the main city centre is only a short walk away.

It was perfect for what we needed, It had a lovely view overlooking Scarborough and accommodated to us well, however, we would have preferred to have had some toilet rolls on arrival and blackbin bags like it said in the information book, but overall, it was a great stay and perfect for what we needed! Would love to stay again!

Excellent location- undergoing totall refurb in the new year and would love to see what they do . Need to be good on your feet for the step stairs up to town and down to beach but that’s just out of owners control outer buildings are what they are.
