Guests say

Foulden Hill Farm Cottage is praised for its peaceful rural setting, beautiful views, and comfortable, spacious accommodation. Guests frequently mention the warm welcome from the hosts and the cottage’s suitability as a base for exploring Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. While most reviews highlight cleanliness and comfort, a few guests noted minor maintenance issues and occasional shortcomings in facilities. Overall, the cottage offers a relaxing and homely atmosphere, making it a popular choice for those seeking tranquillity and scenic surroundings.

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, with several describing it as spotless. However, a small number of reviews mentioned cobwebs and carpet stains, which slightly lowered the overall impression.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, outstanding views, and proximity to both Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Guests appreciated the peaceful countryside setting and easy access to local attractions.

Guests consistently described the cottage as comfortable, warm, and spacious, with particular mention of comfortable beds and a homely feel. Only minor concerns were raised about the lack of an upstairs toilet.

While the cottage is generally well-equipped, some guests reported issues such as a broken washing machine, a faulty bathroom sink plug, and worn kitchen items. These maintenance concerns were noted but did not overshadow the overall positive experience.

The hosts are frequently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. While no specific mention of gifts was made, guests felt well looked after during their stay. Please note that gifts are not guaranteed.

A lovely spacious warm cottage.very well equipped and lovely friendly people.my only very slight criticism would be that the garden although well enclosed would not be totally secure for a small dog.easily remedied by a couple of rolls of wire netting.superb location and plenty of opportunity to walk the dog.in easy reach of numerous towns and villages.a lovely wee break thankyou so much for your hospitality.

This is a fantastic base for north Northumberland and the borders. The views from the cottage were outstanding - both from the living room and the main bedroom, incredible. Horses in the fields surrounded the back of the cottage with the feeling of calm. It was lovely to have a warm, clean cottage to come back to, with everything there for a comfortable stay. Thank you, we will be back!
