The property has been tastefully designed to delicately incorporate traditional features such as a thatched roof and wooden ceiling beams into the build, whilst retaining a contemporary feel. The kitchen has extensive kitchen/cooking equipment for the amateur chef and the dining room has an extending dining table seating eight guests.
Situated in the heart of the village, the property is within a short walk of the village stores and a couple of pubs including a 16th-century thatched tavern reputed to be one of the oldest public house in Dorset.
Known as the Gateway to the Jurassic Coast, West Lulworth is situated within a scenic 10 minute stroll of the picturesque Lulworth Cove, a sheltered horse-shoe shaped natural harbour.
Historically, the cove was notorious as a popular landing point for smugglers looking to land their illicit booty. Today a fleet of fishing trawlers are based in the cove as well as pleasure boats offering scenic day voyages along the coast. Its sheltered position makes the cove particularly popular with beachgoers looking to sunbathe and swim.
Lulworth Cove is only half a mile from Durdle Door, an iconic natural limestone arch which has featured in several music videos, television productions and movies such as Nanny McPhee.
Weymouth and Portland, official Olympic 2012 sailing venues, are within a 20-mile drive.

Beautiful accommodation in a great location. Everywhere was lovely and clean, it's cosy and comfortable with all amenities available. The location was perfect for exploring and Lulworth Cove is so very pretty. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay in beautiful Lulworth at Hanbury House. Very nice property, in a great location less than 10mins walk to the Cove, local pubs, coffee shops, visitors centre. Good sized garden with patio & parking, enclosed for pets. Would definitely return to the property again. Does need some touching up in places, in particular a few radiators that are working but rusty, whilst the lounge furniture was tired as well. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay, good value for money on location alone and would book again.

We spent a week at New year at Hambury House it is a lovely spacious home in a great location.The Kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of crockery and cooking utensils. It had good parking arrangements for two cars and four good sized bedrooms. Location was great with only a 10minute walk to the cove where here was a few pubs and shops. Lots of walks in local area and plenty of attractions nearby that were open that week. Beautiful house that needs a bit of loving a few negate were te cooker needs a clean and the second shower tray did not drain well. The local shop is not open for that Christmas week so had to travel for groceries. I would recommend this cottage for a nice family break as we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay
