Duck cottage is very nice, the decor and soft furnishings were lovely . Very well equipped for a self catering holiday. However, it was a bit cold and drafty. There were rather large holes under the window sill in the living room causing a draft along with a draft through the kitchen door. We also found the stairs a bit worrying as you walked out of the bedroom straight onto the stairs and when you are in a strange place and a little disoriented in the night it could be a problem.Gargrave itself is a lovely village with a couple of pubs and an Indian restaurant. Lots of good walks from the doorstep and many more within a short drive. All in all it’s a nice place to stay.
