No 1 Swallowholm Cottages is set in a small hamlet in picturesque Arkengarthdale, just 4 miles from Reeth and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Approached along a short farm track and surrounded by magnificent scenery this Grade II listed terraced cottage dating back to the 1800s has a multi-fuel burner, underfloor heating to the ground floor and quality furnishings to provide very comfortable accommodation. The local 18th century inn serves excellent food whilst Reeth has everyday shopping, craft shops, pubs and tea rooms. Richmond with its Georgian theatre, along with Leyburn and Hawes are just a short drive away. Arkengarthdale is a truly unspoilt corner of Yorkshire with walks from the doorstep across hills and moorland or make a journey over the Stang to the market town of Barnard Castle. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Lovely well appointed cottage, with everything you could need. Finished to a really high standard.Quiet and peacefull with lots of wildlife to watch from a lovely window seat in the bedroom., Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep with the river swale at the bottom of the field in front and easy access.Local pubs were great and Reeth has an amazing ice cream parlour!!Definately will revisit and chill down from our hectic lives.

A lovely, cosy, clean cottage. Peaceful and relaxing with wonderful views. Plenty of wildlife to watch and enjoy. Cottage is well-equipped with comfortable beds, lovely showers and a log burning stove for extra warmth.
