Cromer itself boasts an abundance of boutique and artisan cafés, bars, restaurants and shops and you could park up at Seahorse Cottage and eat somewhere different on foot every night and never be disappointed, whatever your tastes or however deep your pockets. A big hit with locals and visitors alike, this town has a cinema, zoo, amusements, museum, mainline railway link and of course its famous pier where you can enjoy a coffee or lunch or maybe even take in one of the seasonal end-of-pier shows, the last of their kind in the country. Venture a little further however and discover a string of delightful seaside towns and villages boasting sand and shingle beaches, salt and clay marshes, rolling sand dunes and picturesque quays.
Wildlife enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with rspb Cley Marshes, Sheringham Park, Holt Country Park and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve all within easy reach. And of course, you are just 30 minutes from the gateway to the Norfolk Broads, Wroxham, and if you want a rest from driving you can take the train from Cromer. This train will also take you on to another highlight of Norfolk too, the medieval city of Norwich which is also well worth a visit and offers its famous Norman Castle, museums, galleries, theatres, award-winning market and great places to shop, eat and drink. Add in the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, the Felbrigg, Blickling, Holkham, Houghton and Sandringham Estates, North Norfolk and Bure Valley Railways, Bewilderwood and a host of other attractions too, and you will soon see why visitors have been coming to this part of the coast for generations. I had a wonderful stay at the bungalow — it was cozy, well presented, and truly felt like a proper home away from home. Everything was comfortable and thoughtfully set up.My two dogs absolutely loved the secure, secluded rear garden, which made it extra relaxing for us knowing they could roam safely.The welcome pack was a really nice surprise and a lovely touch. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would happily recommend it.
