Guests say

The Old Coach House in Shrewsbury receives glowing praise for its beautiful, peaceful setting and charming character. Guests consistently highlight the cottage’s cleanliness, comfort, and excellent facilities, with many appreciating the well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches. The location is ideal for exploring Shropshire and nearby attractions, while the hosts are described as friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Minor issues, such as garden gaps for small dogs and distance to the nearest pub, are mentioned but do not detract from overwhelmingly positive experiences. The property is especially popular with families and dog owners.

Multiple reviews describe the property as spotlessly clean, immaculately maintained, and very tidy. No significant negative comments regarding cleanliness were noted.

Guests love the tranquil countryside setting, proximity to Shrewsbury and local attractions, and access to scenic walks. The only minor drawback mentioned is the distance to the nearest pub.

The cottage is repeatedly described as comfortable, cosy, and warm, with high praise for the beds and living spaces. The ground floor bedroom is appreciated for accessibility. A few guests found the sofas a bit soft, but this was a minor issue.

The property is lauded for being exceptionally well-equipped, with a modern kitchen, games, books, and outdoor seating. Minor maintenance issues, such as a broken gatepost, were noted but did not significantly impact overall satisfaction.

Many guests mention thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with milk, eggs, and other provisions. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We were grateful to be able to arrive a little earlier at 4 because 5 o'clock arrival is too late and in our opinion should be lowered

Beautiful inside and out. The beds were so comfortable and having the ground floor bedroom suited us with an elderly guest. The sofas were a little too giving and soft for us but manageable for a weekend. Still a very cosy room. I’d recommend a torch in the property as it’s so dark in the evenings. There was a charger but we couldn’t locate it, so perhaps it’s been misplaced. I’d definitely go back! Added benefit of having horses there to say hello to, and only a short drive into the town.
