Kinder Cottage is located in a peaceful hamlet of properties, adjacent to the main path for the ascent to Kinder Scout – famous as the location of the “mass trespass” by ramblers in the 1930s, venturing out into the open countryside from industrial Manchester and Liverpool. The trails of Kinder Scout and also the Pennine Way are within easy reach. The village facilities of Hayfield are close by the cottage is accessible via both road and the railways stations of New Mills and Glossop. Situated on the north-west edge of the Peak District National Park, the cottage adjoins the owners’ home amidst the rolling hills of the Dark Peak.

Enjoying a hillside position, Kinder Cottage offers breath-taking views across the surrounding landscape in all directions. Enter into the spacious living room which features a ceiling with exposed beams and an attractive stone fireplace with a wood burning stove, a central feature of this cosy traditional cottage. The room includes a dining table and chairs, comfortable seating and TV.From the living room, stairs lead up to the first floor kitchen-diner, equipped with all the necessities. There are two bedrooms on this floor, the first containing a double bed and the second with two single beds. Both bedrooms offer far-reaching views across the spectacular landscape. The spacious bathroom has a bath, separate electric shower in a large cubicle, basin and WC.Outside there is a patio seating area for enjoying the views, and beyond that the expansive rugged countryside of the Peak District awaits. The owner has a flock of friendly sheep which you are welcome to visit.
