Guests say

Lees Moor Cottage is a characterful property praised for its excellent location in the Peak District, offering easy access to local attractions and walks. Guests appreciate its well-equipped kitchen, cosy atmosphere, and the convenience of having modern appliances. While some guests have concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, others find it clean and comfortable, making it a potentially delightful base for exploring Derbyshire.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage clean and well-presented, while others report issues with dust, cobwebs, and in one case, mould in the microwave. The varied experiences suggest that cleanliness standards may fluctuate.

The cottage's location is generally well-received, being close to local amenities and attractions. However, some guests find the proximity to a busy road and the lack of privacy to be drawbacks. The balance of positive location aspects against the traffic concerns results in a good score.

Comfort receives a positive response for the cosy atmosphere and well-appointed rooms. However, some guests mention issues with bed slats and uncomfortable furniture, which detracts from the overall comfort of the stay.

Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of modern appliances. Nonetheless, concerns about maintenance, such as unsecured electrical cables and loose sockets, impact the score negatively.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

There were no instructions for the oven, however, if there had been, we certainly would not have used it, as it required a thorough clean.

The rooms were comfortable and the fire place was lovely too. Great sport to have for a weekend away in the peaks!

Some areas of the cottage looked like they hadn’t been cleaned. Owner was quickly to reply when asking questions. It is in a very good position, not far from all places to visit. The parking was a bit tight as I have a BMW X1. You can park on the road but during the day is busy. Walking distance to the Peak Village and the Grouse and Claret pub. Would stay again.
