Spring Cottage is a charming stone-built retreat nestled in the peaceful village of Powerstock. One of a pair of traditional cottages, the property sits quietly alongside the gentle River Mangerton, surrounded by deep valleys, rolling hills and ancient woodland. From the cottage door, you can step straight onto a network of circular walking and cycling routes that wind through countryside, charming villages and past friendly local pubs. Bridport (4 miles) offers a lively street market every Wednesday and Saturday, alongside independent shops and cafes. The South West Coast path, stunning cliffs, beaches and fossil hunting can be enjoyed along the World Heritage Jurassic Coast (5 miles).
From the laneside parking area, steps lead to the front door, which opens into a welcoming hallway. Immediately to your right is a cosy lounge/diner with Smart TV and open fire. Just next door is the country style kitchen, which leads to a light and bright sunroom overlooking the pretty garden. Also on the ground floor is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. A flight of stairs leads up to the first floor, where you will find the inviting bedrooms, both are spacious and have views over the surrounding countryside.
Heading outside from the sunroom you will find the spacious, enclosed garden with a terrace and lawn, which are accessed via three steps. Ideally positioned behind the cottage, it’s the perfect space to enjoy a meal, or perhaps drinks in the evening.
