Guests say

Guests consistently praise An Grianan for its peaceful rural setting, cleanliness, and the warm hospitality provided by hosts Nora and Andrew. The cottage's location is ideal for exploring West Cork, with comfortable accommodations and a well-equipped kitchen. The working farm setting adds charm, with some guests enjoying fresh eggs and the opportunity to witness farm activities.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, with only one mention of cobwebs and a blocked shower drain. The overall high standard of cleanliness is reflected in the positive comments.

The cottage's rural location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions, though one review mentioned it being very rural and isolated. The scenic setting and easy access to nearby towns contribute to a high score.

Guests describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and a home from home, with spacious living areas and comfortable beds. There is a single mention of uncomfortable living room furniture, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen, good WiFi downstairs, and enjoyable outdoor areas. However, some guests noted limited mobile coverage and TV channels, and one issue with a shower, which was promptly addressed.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the warm welcome and helpfulness. While some guests were delighted by gifts such as fresh eggs, it should be noted that such gestures, while indicative of the hosts' kindness, are not guaranteed.

The house was comfortable and spotlessly clean and was a great base for our trip to West Cork. Nora and Andrew are fabulous hosts and we also had Molly over to welcome us!! I would have no hesitation in returning here or recommending this house for a holiday base. Thanks for the eggs and the spuds - they were delicious!!!!
