Together they sleep up to 24 guests in flexible self-catering accommodation, with three wood-fired hot tubs, a rustic Dutch barn for barbecues and fire pits, and uninterrupted countryside views. Each barn combines rustic charm with luxury modern design, underfloor heating powered by renewable biomass, and stylish open-plan living spaces. Clopton Courtyard brings together sustainability, comfort, and rural charm tucked away in open farmland, yet just a short drive from Cambridge. Six timber-framed barns and one contemporary hut form a horseshoe around a peaceful courtyard, each thoughtfully built using recycled materials and powered by a renewable biomass boiler that keeps the underfloor heating deliciously warm. The setting is open and tranquil, with big skies and far-reaching views of the countryside, offering a place where you can slow down, reconnect, and breathe easy.

Each of the six barns has its own name, character, and style, with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a welcoming open-plan living area and kitchen. Matilda Studio offers open-plan living and sleeping, while The Sheringham Hut provides a quirky glamping option that shares facilities with Lily Barn. Amba Barn includes a spacious dining table for up to 12 guests (extendable to 16 with a trestle table on request), making it ideal for group dining and celebrations. Whether booked individually or together, guests share access to three gorgeous wood-burning hot tubs, a rustic barbecue area, a fire pit, and a covered Dutch barn with picnic-bench seating.

The countryside around Clopton is gentle and green with quiet lanes, golden fields, and endless skies. Spend your mornings exploring nearby walks or cycling routes before heading into Cambridge for punting on the River Cam, browsing the independent shops and cafés, or visiting the university's historic colleges.
