The property is located in the beautiful village of St. Mawgan. The village boasts a well known pub with lovely beer garden, village shop and tea room offering gorgeous freshly made snacks and there is even a picturesque Japanese garden and Bonzai tree nursery, well worth a visit.
The property is only a picturesque 20 minute walk away from the family friendly Mawgan Porth Beach, which has surfing facilities and is home to the famous Scarlet Hotel.
St Mawgan is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Newquay famous for its sandy beaches, water sports and bustling town is only a 15 minute drive away. There are plenty of culinary delights right on the doorstep including Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen restaurant which is situated in Watergate Bay, a 5 minute drive away. Rick Stein’s sea food restaurant is also within easy reach, located in Padstow a mere 15 minute drive away.
There really is so much on offer in the area from golf courses, cliff top walks and rock pools to visiting Newquay Zoo and the Eden project. Of course you can choose to do as much or as little as possible safe in the knowledge that at the end of the day you can relax in comfort at Barn Cottage.

...DVDs, games etc) and decorated in a very homely, comfortable style. Great location for accessing beautiful beaches but just far enough from the hustle and bustle in a pleasant village. ...Porth. The inside looked like it had come out of an interior design magazine, very stylish and contained all the amenities we needed. We had a fantastic week walking and surfing. When the weather wasn't so nice we were able to relax in the cottage. The cottage is ideally located within a quiet village, and it was only a short drive to a number of surfing beaches and towns. ...The cottage my family and I stayed in was beautiful. Spotlessly clean on arrival. Heating on and a welcome basket of goodies was just the start. The fittings and fixtures were of high quality. Everything we needed was also provided for, from towels to family game to hot water bottles it was all there. My favourite thing to do was watch one of the many DVDs provided in the evening with a glass of wine in front of the fire or simply reading one of the hundreds of books on the rocking chair overlooking the garden. Cooking was also a pleasure. There were many recipe books to inspire me at dinner times. Submitted by Louise on 09/03/2016
