Stable Cottage in Cheltenham is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its perfect location, high standard finish, and comfortable amenities. The property is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds and is equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights were mentioned, the overall experience remains positive with guests keen to return.
The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it clean, while others noted areas with crumbs, dirt, and cobwebs. Despite these comments, there was no smell of pets, indicating good upkeep in that regard.
The location is highly praised for being perfect, lovely, and quiet, offering everything needed within the village. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds, contributing to the high score.
Guests found the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the pillows and a good night's sleep. However, some noted a wobbly toilet seat and a missing blind, which slightly affected the comfort level.
The property is well-equipped, with a large TV and kitchen appliances that work well. However, issues with incorrect rubbish instructions, slow internet, and a leak from a skylight window suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Be sure to visit the pretty village of Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the Venice of the Cotswolds, it offers a wealth of attractions and shops amongst its honey-coloured stone architecture and calming village scenes. There is also the vibrant market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, bursting with fascinating history dating back to the 11th century, and the medieval town of Burford, home to a series of independent shops, galleries, restaurants, and tea rooms, plus the Cotswolds Wildlife Park which is a great choice for a day out. Well positioned for accessing the many delights of the Cotswolds, Stable Cottage ticks all the boxes for a memorable retreat with family and friends.
Northleach is located 8 miles north-east of Cirencester, 10 miles south-west of Stow-on-the-Wold, and about 7 miles from Burford, on the Roman route known as the Fosse Way (A429). It is an ideal starting point for visiting these popular and lovely destinations. Northleach was formerly a bustling market town known across Europe as a significant hub for the Cotswold wool trade! The affluent wool merchants paid for the fifteenth-century church of St Peter and St Paul, which was erected using stone taken from the town's quarry and what is now the Market Square. The village has recently been featured in a number of films, notably the 2015 film Casual Vacancy.
