Perfect for couples wanting to get away from it all, Swallows Nest has all of the comforts of home and is an ideal place to stay in all seasons for a romantic retreat. Take long leisurely walks together in the countryside pop down to the pub for lunch or cosy up in front of the log burner and share a glass of bubbles.
Beautifully renovated, the kitchen, dining area, snug and living area are all one open-plan space on the ground floor. With stunning scenic views from the large picture window at the back of the property, it makes for a perfect place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee. Upstairs you will find a cosy bedroom with en-suite and a lovely balcony door with steps that lead down into the garden.
Bibury is a charming, typically Cotswold village and was once described by William Morris as "the most beautiful village in England". Take a leisurely stroll along the river and see the cottages of Arlington Row that are often referred to as the most photographed and beautiful cottages in the country or visit one of the tea rooms or the trout farm.

Very comfortable little cottage with amazing views of surrounding countryside. Perfectly located at the entrance of Bibury, within easy walking distance of pubs and cafes. We enjoyed numerous the trails departing from the cottage as well as our walk to cute little Ablington.The weather was very cold, but central heating and wood burning stove were very effective. Host Jacqueline was very responsive and accommodating with any of our requests. We would highly recommend this place.

Cute little cottage in great location. Conservatory is a great sun trap and heats the whole place, it overlooks a large field where we regularly watched green woodpeckers pecking in the grass just meters from the cottage.Bibury is pretty but during the day full of tourists wandering around. Some nice walks to neighbouring villages from the door. Easy to drive to other pretty spots.Communication with the owner was good when we had some issues which they resolved - mainly the weather vane came loose in a storm and had to be cut downEverything was in good working order. The mattress was too soft for my husband but I thought it was ok for a week, but maybe due an update soon as it is starting to get some ‘roll together’.As others have pointed out, the water pressure in the shower is terrible but you manage and with the only mirror being in the bathroom, it is a pain when trying to get ready.The owners advised me they were planning work on the cottage so these things will probably be addressed.Overall we and our dog enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We recently enjoyed a 4 night stay at Swallows Nest. Location was great, on the edge of the lovely village of Bibury. Easy access to other areas of the Cotswolds. Owner communication was excellent and she gave me some great recommendations of places to visit. The cottage is lovely and peaceful and has everything required of a short break. There was no mirror other than the one in the bathroom but this has been reported to the owner. The only thing I would suggest is a lamp for the living area, instead of having to use the downlighters in the evening. Please be warned that the water pressure in the shower is awful, not the be all and end all but I do enjoy a good shower! I would certainly have no hesitation in returning to Swallows Nest.
