Guests say

Folly Cottage in Tetbury is consistently praised for its beauty, peacefulness, and perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Guests appreciate the well-maintained property, delightful gardens, and cosy atmosphere. The high-quality furnishings and luxury touches are noted, though a welcome pack on arrival is suggested for added convenience.

The cottage is described as very clean and tidy, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.

The location is ideal for a quiet walking weekend and exploring the Cotswolds, with easy access to local amenities, cafes, shops, and historic buildings in Tetbury.

Guests find the cottage cosy with comfortable soft furnishings and a relaxing garden, contributing to an overall comfortable experience.

The property is equipped with modern appliances and a coffee machine. However, a mention of limited firelighters suggests room for improvement in stocking essential supplies.

While guests would appreciate a welcome pack, especially after a long journey, and this gesture is noted as making a difference, it is not guaranteed and not a consistent offering at this property.

The cottage and its location were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. My only qualm is that it would have been nice to receive a small welcome pack — perhaps some milk and a few biscuits — especially after a long journey. We arrived in the late evening and had to go out to find a shop, which wasn’t ideal. At other cottages we’ve stayed in, a small welcome gesture has always been provided, and it really is the little details that make a difference.Although there was a log burner, there were only two firelighters, so we had to go out and buy more. That said, overall the cottage and the surrounding area are lovely, and I would recommend it.
