Guests say

Chevinside Cottage in Belper is a charming and comfortable holiday rental with stunning views and a peaceful location. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the hosts and the cottage's cosy atmosphere, complete with a log fire. The property offers a good base for exploring the Peak District, with many praising its idyllic setting and proximity to local attractions. While some guests mention minor issues with comfort and maintenance, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a beautiful countryside setting.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few reviews mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as dirty floors and a strong pet odour in some areas, which suggests room for improvement.

The location of Chevinside Cottage is highly praised for its stunning views, peacefulness, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. It serves as an excellent base for exploring the Peak District, with guests enjoying the rural setting and wildlife.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and warm, with a homely atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned that the beds could be more comfortable and that the cottage has uneven floors and low doorways, which may affect those with mobility issues.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen facilities and offers a real fire, which guests appreciate. Nonetheless, comments about the need for maintenance, such as a non-working shower and the front door needing attention, indicate that some facilities could be updated.

While guests have mentioned the warm welcome from the hosts, there is no consistent reference to gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

Need different bins for recycling. Should not put out towels that are marked, even though they are clean.

The countryside is amazing and it's so peaceful. Waking up most days to the cows and the sheep in the fields next to the cottage always made our day. Hope to return soon.
