A short drive takes you to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. Historic market towns include Chesterfield, Bakewell, Matlock and Matlock Bath. The accommodation is very small but OK for two people who are able on their feet although any difficulties with walking may be a problem. Everything necessary for living is supplied in the cottage buy there is no facility for recycling.
